Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

I would actually like the ability to dye my rugs. Some of the ones available are nice in design but forsake the integrity of the decor around it.

Also, A little flower pot to grow a plant in would be nice as well to grow a few personal items without commandeering the entire FC garden.

It would be nice if all lamps and potted plants could be categorized as table top furniture, since table top furniture can be placed on both the table and on the floor. It would be nice to have the option to raise the current floor lamps, especially the interactive lamps, onto a counter, table, or pedestal so they can be seen and utilized at a height other than on the floor. The current table lamps are rather small, and the current floor lamps aren't very tall.

Also it would be great if we could change the interior pillar/crown molding/baseboard styles that come attached to the house, the same way we can currently change our wallpaper and flooring. (Maybe call it Glade/Oasis/Riviera interior frame or structure?) That way, we could change our interior without having to move somewhere we don't want to live. :P

I have not read all pages so perhaps it was mentioned but would love if we could have seasonal stuff, like christmas, halloween, Easter, etc.

Now that we have random retainers running around in the wild, I think it would be cool if they implemented random retainers walking through the FC house, as NPCs just to liven things up for the less active homes, and maybe give people a chance to show off how they played dress up with their retainers.

Maybe make it so that the game picks 1 (small house), 2 (medium) or 3 (large) retainers at random from FC members and has them walking/sitting around the FC house, with random comments based on the personalities people picked for them.

When are we getting the guestbook feature? It seems to be in the housing menu but we're unable to use it. I'd love to open up my house for guests to come in if guestbooks were implemented

We’re currently looking into adding a guest book as a furnishing item for the future so that visitors can leave a comment. However, as there are other tasks at the moment that have higher priority, the details have not yet been finalized.

Such a horrible idea. We all know how good comment systems work in real life (google, facebook, etc). Why would we want to have a book where players could leave comments about us and our rooms or house in game? The dev team doesn't have enough time or resources available to keep a system like this to be "healthy". Please rethink this and put efforts into other things housing related.
