Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

Thanks for all the requests. There are lots of good ideas here that I will be sure to share with the development team.

In the meantime I wanted to share some things that are on the horizon.

First, we are currently looking into making it so that changing jobs in housing areas will not place your actions on cooldown. Once we decide on the implementation timing we will be sure to let you all know!

Also, as you may know, there is currently no system in place to allow you to upgrade your land plot, which means it wouldn't be possible to carry over your furnishings were you able to upgrade from a small plot to a medium one. However! We are looking into implementing a moving feature, which will allow you to bring everything to your new home.

We are still in the planning phase of this system, but once there are developments we will be sure to let you know.

This is a great idea though not one immediately necessary. It should also come with an option to sell back your original property. No one is going to move or upgrade plots if they have to fork over full price again. I think if the sellback option existed you would have seen a lot more small plots being bought while the FCs raised money for a bigger one.

I like the moving thing. now you know what be great if you had team moogles do it with a big van. am sure FC move house just to see them come in back up your stuff and move it out in box's it make a great CS.

That's good news, and a step in the right direction Once that's implemented, we'll just need to be able to resell the initial land plot to the NPC to recover part of what we invested in it

Oh this is excellent information. So eventually we will be able to upgrade plots from one size to another. As Lithera said, hopefully FCs will get the option of selling back a plot or selling it to another FC for a discounted price of sorts towards the new plot that they'd like.

Sorry to sound cynical and judgmental, but that should have been available from the beginning. Especially since you seem to think that housing is worth what we're being asked to pay for it.
