    I wonder how hard it would be for SE to create a grouping, layout, and blueprint system. A system where you can group things together, which will then be saved on your system as an easily readable file (I mean like you can open it on your PC even). Another system will allow you to save your house layout.

    Together you could do something like make a custom made fireplace and group it under the name fire place. When you select it the game would move it as one unit as if it was a single object, rotations and all that acting as if it was all glued together. You could then also use these groupings to place more like it, if you had the items to do so- otherwise it'd just tell you or show them outlined in red (to be like "this is incomplete but can be placed as such").

    Trying not to be too confusing you'd have:
    Layout(s)- entire house state, that you can save, one of these layouts would always be current layout that the server sends us when we load the house (basically the engine's own auto save). The other manual ones could be loaded if you wish, and you could "find missing" that layout to see what you're missing.
    Blueprint(s) / Grouping(s) - The ability to save a set of items into a file that could be shared, like a table with a grouping of items, or custom made objects (that are made of multiple objects). Ideally SE can store the groupings into a local file (or even on the server), so you can maintain groupings across multiple people. If SE can't store the groupings on their side (which is fine) it just means that only one person could easily store groupings, as SE would send you the current layout (as they do already) and then the game would compare it to your slots and once it finds a slot that is just like "current" it would then load the groupings from that saved local slot. Meaning you could login and out and store groupings of objects locally without SE having to do that for you .... but... if someone messes with the layout then your groupings would die without some sort of fairly smart checker or SE storing them.

    Anyway, I think it would be interesting to see people share their creations, rooms, or even whole houses. It also might allow for some other features too if you were able to somehow upload your entire house setup, like if you wanted to replace all your lamps with a different lamp- a program or website could fairly easily go in and replace the instructions in the layout.

    Keeping it simple would allow it to be more easily created (simple as in it just creates straightforward text documents the system can read and compare to). Copying whole houses seems less likely lol but I imagine rooms or smaller objects could be not too uncommon, and I think people would appreciate being able to save layouts and custom objects.

    This might have been mentioned already, but 200+ pages is... a lot to go through so~

    I'd like to be able to remove the pillars/windows along the walls of apartments/houses. Yes, you can hide them with partitions...sort of, but being able to turn them off/on would be far more efficient and less irritating besides. Also, I don't know how the interior of Mist/Lavender Bed houses look, but Goblet houses have these annoying ceiling supports that stick out downwards and it drives me nuts. Sure, you can block those out with lofts, but then you lose even more space doing that and Roe are huge so everything already looks smaller anyway... Tall race problems, I guess.

    Basically, I just want more effective space. :X

    Yeah we haven't been letting them forget we want that one lol. It's why a few pages back I proposed the idea of an internal housing skin (you craft in workshops) that would utterly change the internal appearance and layout. It wouldn't allow the kind of customization you're thinking of, but it may be a halfway point we can meet in the middle on.

    Even if this just resulted in those pillars/supports shrinking a bit, rather than outright removing them...I'd still take it. Hell, I'd take any improvement at this point. Those bloody things make it difficult to get the desired result I want. ><

    Also, it'd be nice if SE improved the droprate on Verdant Partition a bit. Ran it quite a lot and not seen a single drop. I weep.

    I'm with you there. I really struggle with it too. Even using stage panels on it you simply cannot cover everything (doors I'm looking at you) and it chews through the item slots something fierce.

    A few furnishing ideas;

    Double Partitions - Exactly what it says on the box, a version of existing partitions that's just twice as long. Could even go further with a triple version, would save a few on the furniture limit.

    Windowed Partitions - Essentially something similar to the Open Partition, but for a variety of designs. On that note;

    Add the missing Partitions - Rename the Mahogany Partition Door to Riviera Partition Door, add a Hingan Partition Door, Hingan Half Partition, and so on. Blank X Partition Doors, Blank Half Partitions, Blank Open X Partition, the list goes on. I'm almost certainly missing some things here, but you get the idea.

    Half Pillars - Pillars that don't go all the way to the roof and have a nice "rounded" top. Mostly thinking of the entrance way in Mansions for this, where there is no roof and thus Pillars look a bit off IMO, but Half Pillars would also just work nicely with Half Partitions.

    Sin Eater Sculptures - To match the Vodoriga and Gargoyle Sculptures perhaps... In general I'd just like more Sculptures like those two, just of nicer looking things... Doesn't even have to be Sin Eater based, I just though that would pose a nice mirror to the existing ones, and honestly a Forgiven Venery Sculpture would be great... Possible drops (crafting material or otherwise) from Mt Gulg, or even Lost City (Hard), given there were already statues of Sin Eaters there...

    Sports based furniture - This is something others can perhaps expand on, but I'm thinking things like a Kendo Set (Rack of Bamboo Swords, some of the armor strewn about perhaps), a Boxing Ring, some of the Archery furniture kicking around the Archers Guild, that sort of stuff. Leading off that;

    Weapon Racks - There are all sorts of these already kicking around the game. Bows nicely stacked away, Swords, Spears, etc. I would very much like these as furniture options.

    Indoor Fountains - Currently we only have one, Llymlaen's Embrace. This is fine for some things, but anything involving symmetry and/or tight spaces? You can only have one per estate and it is frankly huge. Just some small fountains to place by the front door, that's all I want.

    Entertainer based permits - So we have permits for NPCs that have useful functions; Shops, Repairs, Melds, etc. I'd like something similar to this, just for having NPCs that do "pointless" things. Like when you enter the Gold Saucer, you've got those NPCs juggling, let us hire them. Let us hire a selection of Bards playing various instruments. Best way to add Mime to the game? Plenty of ideas you can have for this, but one important detail; Make them Tabletop furniture. That way we can place them on things like the Troupe Stage... Actually, as a side point, I'd say that goes for the existing Permits and Mannequin... They really should be Tabletop items...

    A Toilet - I feel this is just the natural progression after adding the Washbasin...

    Oh, and a couple features I'd like to see;

    A Seasonal or Mogstation tab for the Preview Furniture option. I don't like the Mogstation, but I feel people should be able to preview furniture before they go ahead and dump real money on them... I mostly just want this though so I can preview seasonal furniture that I have lost somewhere on a Retainer...

    A Preview Fixtures option. Simple enough, same logic behind the ability to preview furniture, let us preview how Lights/Walls/Floors/etc will look.

    still gives me nightmares and you want us to have a statue in our house reminding me of that? NOOOOO!!!! Arrgghhh!!!

    Seriously though, it would be interesting if nothing else (and a good counter to the existing voidsent statues as you said).

    While we're on the subject of stuff from the First, I'd like to have a plate of meol as a food furnishing added - maybe 'mock' meol for... obvious reasons as the original kind of may contains evil.

    Oh hey, I did forget one; X Arch Partition, which I'm fairly certain already exists in the game as the doorway to the rooms on the upper floor of Mansions. All that needs to be done is taking that section of wall from the 4 Mansion types and converting it into a partition, like the Marble Arch Partition. Would be very nice to have a doorway option that A) doesn't have a clunky door, and B) matches the rest of the walls.

    And just to reiterate the same suggestion again; Black X Arch Partitions, please and thank you.

    I think this has already been suggested but can we get the option to change the color of the ceiling lights?
    There are a lot of older lights fixtures I like but the light they shine is too yellow or red for my liking.
