Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

Personally some things I would like:
1. Increased item limits for large houses (400 or more limit inside) (100 limit outside)
2. Ability to use certain furniture inside or out (eg: striking dummy inside, or a bathtub outside for a hot tub.)
3. Ability to have higher fences and a gate with the ability to lock people out of the yard.
4. Different music for each housing area.(Goblet, mist, lavender beds) (Bonus if day/night changes it too)
5. More npcs wandering the wards.
6. Grand company house style glamours.
7. Ability to change the layout on the inside of houses. (perhaps even the ability to place walls/doors/staircases/windows)
8. Better access to rooftop and balcony. (Perhaps even a rooftop terrace to decorate.)
9. Ability to logout in a bed similar to the inn.
10. Ability to change the direction the house faces.
11. In the expansion perhaps an indoor pool to swim in.

I'd really like to see slightly increased furniture limits across the board. It's very hard to make small gardens work with just 20 slots for instance, even 5-10 more slots would be a huge boon.

I bring with me some housing-related updates!

- Also something like a bridge surrounded by a pond would be very pretty.

You'll be happy to hear that we're currently planning to add an oriental style red bridge along with a pond to go with it in Patch 3.3!

- More eastern/oriental housing glamours in general.

A player on the Japanese forums submitted the following suggestion as part of an oriental themed outdoor furnishing:

We're planning to implement something similar to this in Patch 3.3. It'll be possible to dye the roofing as well.

- add a "Skywatcher" NPC to the housing areas

We'll consider adding a Skywatcher NPC to each of the housing wards.

Additionally, we have received requests to be able to have individual food items instead of the sets of food. For example, drinks, soups, and cakes as separate food furnishing items, so you can enjoy combining them as you like to decorate your homes.

While some of you may already know this, consuming all the food available from the current food furnishing items will leave you with an empty plate, which has generated a good amount of requests for plates as furnishings. We'll see if something like this can be added in the future.

This is great news! My retainer has been doing business from under the Crimson Felt Mat's umbrella for some time now, wanting for proper shelter. I even suggested a Deluxe Retainer Counter with a canopy some time ago, so if they can be placed under the roof of this item, I'll be very satisfied.

They've said their working on a move feature, but we'll probably have to wait until official patch notes before we get concrete info. It might not even be in 3.3. As far as I know, the only confirmed new housing feature for 3.3 is the Apartments.

I would love to get stained glass windows in a house. I doubt it would be able to be anything like in Haukke Manor's front, but it would be nice if we could get a large stained glass window at the back of a large house in the staircase landing or something.
