Bizarre FFXIV fans demanding the game to lack a standard feature which almost every MMO player expects are the game's worst enemy when it comes to attracting new players.
It seems like a lot of them haven't played any other games
they enjoy the game at this state and against every suggestions from general MMO players

Stroll with me to 1991....
Granted Dungeons and Dragons had been around for a while... And text based RPGs on BBS' were going strong....
But console RPG's were still relatively new.... But were all turn based....
Hironobu Sakaguchi, Hiroyuki Ito and Akihiko Matsui decided that they would go against the norm and make a game that lacked a standard feature which almost every RPG player expected....
And they gave us Active Time Battle.....
Its crazy.... It wont work.... Its not what people are used to?
But you know what? It worked... It wasn't standard, but it created a new standard.... that is what people play FF games for...
not chocobos and Tonberries.....
but INNOVATION...
People are quick to say "If it isn't broke... don't fix it" and "[Insert normal feature here] is perfect... why change it?"
but going by that logic, every game would be super mario bros....
the world changes, the hardware changes, games change, people change.... If you're stuck in the way something WAS then you're always going to be disappointed... and you'll never truly enjoy a game again....
It's like carrying old relationship baggage....
Yes... the game had flaws... but it was NEVER because it was too different or strayed too far from the norm...
Its flaws were due to the game being rushed.... and unfinished....
Given enough time.. I am 100% positive SE could produce an MMO that is unlike anything else and is extremely immersive and enjoyable...
If you don't feel that way... Why are you here?
