Error 2002 - can't connect to the data center?

Is anyone else having trouble connecting? I log in just fine to the lobby but when I hit start I get get the dreaded 2002 error "Connection Problem with Lobby Server"

I've done everything I can thing of. I've reinstalled the game, complete elimated my router by plugging directly into my cable modem, checked my firewall settings... nothing works.

Literally I was playing last Sunday, turned off my computer to go visit family for xmas, then turned in on when I got home and now I get this error. I've probably tried logging in 50 or so times since last night and I always get the error.

i am having these problems too except i havent be able to play a single bit except when i goto a friends. i am not content with how this is set up. i contacted squeenix about this and says its just server ingestion. i went to my friends 20minutes later and i logged in just fine. i contacted them again and keep telling me to do things i have already done. i dontknow what to do and i cant get my money back on the game so well Fml
