    Vital Request: Battle Regimens

    I do not want to see Battle Regimens removed with the new combat system. In fact, I want it to stay -- just make it more impactful with the status effects, and more streamlined. That's all.

    It is VERY fun to have a full party chaining four different weaponskills for insane amounts of damage. Like so...

    Maim > Doomspike II > Doomspike II > Thunder II on Kokoroon Quickfingers.

    So much damage. So FUN!

    Please do not eschew this, Square Enix.

    I agree, the battle regimen system is one of the few unique enjoyable aspects of the game. But I don't think they intend on taking it out. They just aren't going to improve it until a later time.

    I don't think they're removing BRs. However, they are going to rebuild them from the ground up. I wonder if they'll still be operational with 1.18 though, considering we'll have auto attack.

    I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure once they're done redesigning the system, we'll still be able to chain multiple abilities together for similar effects.

    I would really like a rebuild. Maybe it's just me, but I really miss the skillchain and magic burst system from XI. This whole queue system is personally a little annoying. I guess you could consider it "more strategic" as you would decide beforehand what to queue up, however with the skillchain system, it felt much more free and...natural?

    ... I sadly never mastered this... (I play solo too much ever since my IRL friends game up on the game.) I feel very lame now. I'm going to go figure this stuff out now before it gets rebuilt for the new system. I'm very interested.

    I really enjoyed using the Br's too, altho i wouldnt mind seeing a nice sexy animation effect to go along with the effects like what would happen with SkillChains used to do, well as long as it wasnt just a simple mash of light like most of the battle effects are, since skillchaining and getting tho's visual's was a very satisfying feeling.

    Why do people think Auto Attack is going to affect so many things? It won't stop you from crafting, it isn't going to cause your character to explode, and the world will not end.

    I don't see them mentioning in any way that BR's are being removed.

    It is one of the few systems in XIV that I like anyways.

    i never understood how BR can be fun : doin a lot of dmg without an animation/or broken animation isnt fun. Just because its dmg and has an effect... doesnt make it fun to me.

    It feels like "pause" BR "pause" back to the battle to me. It would be much better to just use BR, add the skills (without them actually being cast- but not go off yet) and as soon as the BR starts, a real coordinated good animated skillchain goes off, with proper animations etc. everything else is lost less fun then ffxi skillchains were.

    Still ffxi skillchains beat this by far.

    I also don't like the fact that every tiny unimportant attack can make a BR... im not impressed how this system is atm but imo it would work better with autoattack since its not dynamic at all.
