eh. they won't have any other dungeon unlocked for that class, no matter if they have them unlocked in general or not. if you're say... lvl 30... you only have up to haukke unlocked. you won't be able to queue for anything higher, even if you've done them on a different class that is already 50. did I really have to mention that?

I do statistics for a living. it's working exactly as I said. you will always have a much higher chance to get one of the starter dungeons because the dungeon is decided by the lowest level member of the group.

I think you're being more confusing than you intend to here. There's a difference between unlocking a dungeon and being of-level for the dungeon. The way you said it in the first statement was that they hadn't UNLOCKED the content yet, which made them "part of the problem." Re-evaluating what you said, I understand it better now.

I think the issue here, though, is that more people are getting the lower-leveled dungeons because...more people are queuing for them, plain and simple. The majority of people in the level range of Stone Vigil, Brayflox's Longstop, Haukke Manor, etc. are using the Duty Roulette to level up, rather than queuing for dungeons in their range, which would create a need for Duty Roulette players to go there.

In other words, if you're tired of getting stuck in low-level dungeons, queue for one within your level range to create the demand that Duty Roulette will supply.

that was exactly my point. if he has 6 dungeons unlocked (!!!!!!!!!) for that class, then half of the dungeons he's queuing for are the low level dungeons. and that's only provided he's the lowest level member of his group, which chances are, he's not. so that drops the chance of getting anything but a starter dungeon even lower.

we're really talking about a silly issue anyway, since he hinted at queueing for the higher level dungeons the regular way but that makes him having to wait longer - which he doesn't want to do.
frankly, I'm not even sure how this is going to work anyway, because if SE ever decided to actually give us a 'mid-level' DF they would more or less .not. include stuff like Toto Rak and Haukke in that. hell, they would probably not even include Brayflox. it would completely defeat the purpose of the DF if the really low level dungeons had their own DF because nobody would ever queue for them.

    edit: fixed some insomnia-fcks :P

Don't be too quick to assume that the system isn't biased just because there's a reasonable story around the evidence.

It makes sense that the lower level dungeons are in high demand because low level players queue for them and don't have access to higher level dungeons. This creates a greater chance of getting a lower level dungeon than a high one.

It's also possible the dungeon selection algorithm is broken and that it prefers low level dungeons over higher level dungeons, even when everyone is eligible for higher level dungeons.

I've been doing daily low level roulettes. Anecdotally I get Ifrit a lot (often several times in a row). I haven't seen any primal besides Ifrit, and no dungeon greater than Toto Rak (which I got once, usually get Sastasha, Copperbell, or Tam Tara). It seems possible that roulette is working correctly, but it could also be broken.

I've done the Duty Roulette for a week now, and have never seen any other dungeon than Halatali.
