Does anyone feel its a coincidence that they are aiming to have all the major changes done by the end of summer and now the PS3 version is rumored to come shortly after in august? I'm guessing the devs are getting pressure to release it this fall. I hope they learned their lesson with the last launch cause the only get one more.

Yoshida in letter XI actually said that pressure is mounting up in the scheduling front. What that means, who knows, But, if PS3 version was to be released anytime soon, you would see a push in marketing. Considering all changes planned, PS3 might be pushed for next year even. No rush, either way, if anyone knows what time they have on their hands is SE and there are plenty of other games coming out this year for PS3 that look excelent. Im not even worried about XIV(Which I log in to almost every day for about one to two hours ^^).

Most of the stuff they are doing and the improvements they are making are very PS3-centric
Who wouldn't want to tap into the 4.5 million people who bought FFXIII on PS3...
Sure, all of them wont get it... and all that get it wont stay and play....
but all they need is 1/9th of that to equal FFXI...
Maybe consoles MMO's are ready to go mainstream....
God knows there is no PS3 MMO competition (DCUO???)
The darn game engine we are using was developed for the PS3
The UI is completely controller friendly...
You can play the entire game keyboard and mouse free....
Large seamless zones to cut down on load times...
From business and creative standpoints, PS3 is just a good move...
Also, lets be honest... most people either keep their heads in the sand re: game reviews OR want to join in on the hate first hand so they'd buy the game just to see what all the complaining was about
Add to that the fact that Famitsu (Japan) wont review the game until PS3 release
So Let's say Famitsu givesthe game a 37 or higher out of 40 (You can say they wont, but that would mean you haven't done your research)...
Japan PS3 numbers will be bigger then worldwide PC numbers....
