No. This is Final Fantasy XIV, not Final Fantasy Online. As fun as things like CT and Gold Saucer is/will be, the cameos seriously need to not go over board imo. Having places from other games is fine, but having characters? No ty. Lightning being here made sense, but was still something no one asked for. Now my server is just full of Lightning look a likes -.-

Although I don't mind other characters from previous games popping in for a visit, I think that Sephiroth is focused on way too much by the community and once he visits Eorzea you guys don't get to see him again.
Can you live with that? Maybe it would be better to have the hope that he might pop up rather than him popping up and knowing he will be gone forever.
I would rather see some other lesser main party members coming in to the game somehow.
