    error [11006][20641][20643] (again)

Here we go again. Big patch, same error again:

I tried all "tips" to solve this: use ccleaner, delete patch folders, no antivirus, no firewall, reinstall.... no luck. You have to try and pray to have a successful update... thats a bit annoying when you have to download 3Gb over and over and over...

Isn't there an alternative way to download the files from updates? I though in FFXIV 1.0 the cliente creates a .torrent...

By the way, i don't have troubles downloading the files from patch, this error happens when the client tries to INSTALL the file downloaded.

Here's how I managed to fix it on my end.

    Go to: C:\Users\Rey\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\downloads\ffxivpatch

Obviously the 2nd line will be YOUR username and not "Rey." Once open, just DELETE the one or 2 folders in there; they will have weird names like 4e9a232b and such. These folders are just where the game is downloading the patch to and will keep everything else (screenshots, ui settings) intact. You can try re-downloading the patch now and unless you have other issues, things will go smoothly.

I had this happen when I first picked up the game awhile ago, and this was how I fixed it then as well. After having to go to great lengths to figure this out, I laughed at how easy it ended up being. Posting this on the SE forums as well, good luck and see you on Gilgamesh!

That didn't work. >_< Still having the same error. I tried disabling my anti-virus as well, no go. Other people are making new threads with this same problem, so it seems pretty common...

This has been an issue since ARR beta, I foolishly bought the digital collectors and a month sub knowing better. Now those of us who can not update will have to wait a week or more for someone to be nice enough to torrent the new patch, which may never happen. I myself since day one have tried EVERY fix they say of even so far as re downloading windows. It's an issue SE seems to ignore.

Try making all executables in boot and game folder's compatibility setting check run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (service pack 3) and also check Run this program as an administrator, I hope this solves your issue.

It's possible that the updater is throwing the patch into an outdated folder, maybe from the beta.

Only thing I can think of in that case is:

    1. Check if you have the old FFXIV:ARR Beta still installed, and if so find where it's folder is via properties.
    2. Uninstall the BETA version of FFXIV:ARR
    3. Check the folder where the BETA was located and look for any trace folders, like "ffxivpatch." If they're there, delete them and see if you can fully download the patch.
    Hope this helps.
