Crystal Tower forced loot drops

I'm being forced to accept Crystal Tower drops because I cannot pass fast enough due to being in a cutscene. I was forced to accept a Crown of Light this week when I didnt want it because the rest of my party passed before I could. I was so frustrated I threw the crown away. I didnt want it and now I locked out from drops from CT. I'm pretty unhappy that I'm now unable to get a piece I want from CT.

I dont think it's fair for me to have to accept a piece of gear and be locked out because everyone had the opportunity to pass before me.
