Works for me. I get 80.8333etc which rounds up into the 81 it shows for me.

Your weapons are so bad, the rest of your gear can't make up for the loss in power!!!
Idk why the formula is off for you, works fine for me as well, on all my jobs.
Edit: Maybe weapons/armors are rounded to fives, and Ifrit is really a lv 56 item --conspiracy theory!

I don't have screen shots now because I am on notebook.
Full DL (item level 70 on all slots) + regular relic (item level 80 weapon) = average item level 71.
With full DL + Garuda Van + Ultima ring (item level 80 accessory) = average item level 70.
In total, both setups have the same numbers, but the one with the relic gets a higher average item level, so I think slots do have different weight. I'll test this better later.
Edit: no I won't. I'm horrible at math and I hate this average item level thing

Hmm is still interesting what you say here. Because Garuda is 70 and so its DL. So at the very least should be Item Lv 70 avg and having a Lv80 ring should rise it above 70 obviously but the game didnt and it stayed at 70. So that seems the case. Some slots have more weight than others. I will buy DL pants today and see how much it change.I don't have screen shots now because I am on notebook.

I wondered this myself. I switched my ilvl 55 shield and ilvl 70 sword for two ilvl 80s earlier and went up just one level. Surely that isn't right?
I'm sure different items have different weights. Switching from i70 to i90 body usually gives me 2 average ilvls. Switching rings from an i49 to i90 only gave 3 to my average though
Considering that weapon, body and legs give the largest contributions to your overall stats it would make sense that these three are weighted slightly higher than the rest.
