Pretty much if you analyze the MMORPG playerbase this generation - Too hard? People want it nerfed into the ground so they can faceroll it. Too easy? People want a challenge mode - "happy medium" no longer exists due to the current generation because the playerbase that will make a company the most money will almost always consider something "too hard, nerf it" if it can't be done within 10 minutes or with minimal work.

That's why F2P, B2P, Freemium and DLC does so well these days.
