First few Titan HM kills I got were in DL gear & AK gear. You don't have to buy it, you only have to keep doing it until you know the rotation by heart with a group of people who put the same amount of efforts as you did.

The truly funny thing is at the start of the game people beat Titan WITHOUT relics and full DL gear. Learning what he does and when to avoid it does wonders. It's not like you HAVE to beat Titan EM. Far as I know it's optional. I got my first relic when relics were still sort of rare. I didn't buy it, I didn't get carried, I learned what to do and what not to do. People make Titan out to be harder than he really is.

In all seriousness, I haven't tried extreme yet. It looks fun. It looks chaotic. It looks like people actually have to be coordinated. The videos (which I hate watching videos in advance, but figured I might as well considering how hair-trigger people will be in this fight) make it look so easy. Titan HM is only hard with a group that has at least 3 incompetent players that can't even survive pre-heart. With a group of players that are geared and understand the mechanics, Titan HM is a cakewalk. I've been in groups that have sold HM runs to 2 people at once and they would jump and kill themselves after the heart phase and it was still easy to beat with just 6 players.

Titan EX is notably a completely different monster. Yet several people have at least 1 if not 2 EX weapons now so it's obviously not an impossible fight.

An easy fight can be BS. Winning or not winning has nothing to do with this subject. Titan HM is easy, but he's still BS.
