Titan Extreme is NOT Fun

Yeah keeping a fight just to fill peoples' pockets is not the way to ****ing go.

Honestly, most groups are good until post-heart. The two additional mini-Titans throw people off, not to mention the bomb patterns. You would think they'd have left bomb patterns out of it entirely... just to make things slightly easier for players during that difficult phase. Keep the impossible-to-dodge bombs, so that there's still BOMBS, but lay off the bomb patterns before & after them.

I'm a MNK i90 and I can do the fight no problem, finding other people who can do it... quite a problem. I once spent 2 hours with the SAME GROUP and no matter what you could expect us to fail post-heart. You would think some people learn but alas... that is not the case... :|

I too am tired of everything being heavy on dodging. Yeah in some fights it can be fun but in every single fight? I want new content. I want fights that can take a couple hours without the stress of 1hko's every other attack. I want bosses with puzzles requiring you to bring a boss to an area just to deal damage. I wanna fight 6 or so bosses at once that have different strengths and weaknesses.

It feels like every boss/primal is the exact same with different attacks, and aeo shapes and sizes. I'm bored with it and desperate for creative battles

I bought my first Titan EX win for 300k gil. A good chunk of my money was refunded when a tank DC'ed and I took over and lived to the end, never getting hit by anything. I was stuck on that fight for a while so nobody can say I just didn't put the time in. I must've tried that fight hundreds of times. Finally I just got so frustrated by being stuck that I paid for the win, which since I knew the fight inside and out was just paying for other competent players at that point.

I'm not at all ashamed. I look at buying wins only in pragmatic terms: will the group actually win, can I afford the gil, and is there a point in clearing this piece of content right now? Since I knew the group and making 300k takes me about 2 hours (much less than the 50 or so I spent on Titan), it was really only the last part that concerned me.

Since everyone assured me that the other EX primals were easier and I wanted to start farming them while the gear was still relevant, it was an easy decision. I shelled out the gil and have been happier ever since. Of course SE will probably see how many people have the achievement and conclude that Titan EX is perfectly fine as is

Completely opposite of you here. Titan is without a doubt my favorite fight. I stayed pugging for a bit learning his mechanics. Finally downed it in a pug group after a week felt good cause I told my bf I'd never pay for a win. said the same thing when HM was considered a problem. Now I continuously hop in pugs and run titan ex for fun.

Not so much anymore because we've run it a bazillion times, but personally I found Titan EX extremely fun.... when running it with my FC. You know that no one is going to make stupid mistakes (most of the time). I wouldn't say PuGs are "not fun", its just that you can be 98% sure you're not going to beat it and someone is going to die on the first plumes/LS.

Titan was the most difficult Primal for a long time in FFXI... Titan is a boss, and should remain a boss ass bit**

I haven't done it yet either but there should be some matchmaking possibility in the df to wait longer if you're looking to group with players who have at least tried it same-ish amount of times.

By the time I finally cleared GarEX I had done that fight dozens of times and knew the fight really well.

My frustrations with Titan has never been how difficult he is, but how hard it is to actually find players who are capable of surviving till the end. You now there is a problem when ilvl90+ players start eating dirt right after the heart phase!

^ Pretty much this. I had that same issue finding competent players whenever it was pre-made or DF. People love to eat during before and during heart phase. Finally got through that abomination with a full FC party. The entire fight is fun when there are seven people who know what they are doing, but you still need to hold your own to make the fight go smoothly.

yep , i agree , i was stuck months on titan ex because i had a pride not to pay gil for a win and win legit , but at one day i had enough of constant party finder waiting , then wiping which was followed by rage quitting and more party finder waiting , then i paid 500k hoping to get carried and finally try ifrit , we won relatively fast and i was rather surprised i stayed alive for the whole fight which totally proves your point
