Titan Extreme is NOT Fun

I will leave it at this. I've experienced everything in game thus far and the only difficult thing in this game is playing on PS3 (not controller issue) on fights like Ultima Hard mode but only during the laser phase. PS3 has an extremely slow response times on player input lag. I don't want to sound like an ass or an elitist but this game needs encounters that separate great players from just mediocre ones, I'm sorry. Remember, the Extremes are an option! No one is making you do them. I've done them with my FC, which is extremely smooth versus a party finder group but I've had good party finder groups that were capable of doing it just fine. It's really just about practice, remembering the bosses rotations and carrying your weight.

Lag can have an impact on your performance but complaining about your personal lag is not going to fix the issue. There are many ways to get rid of lag that I will not mention. Do your research if you don't want to have any at all. Secondly, we need these types of encounters because it makes us better players. It's tense, exciting, and you get a sense of accomplishment when you dodge everything. Well, I guess I can't really speak for everyone but that's just my opinion on the matter. You just shouldn't let an encounter discourage you. Practice, practice, practice!

Please don't forget you can obtain a ilvl90 weapon quite easily just by capping your mythologies for 2 weeks and ofc having your relic unlocked. In some cases (bard for example) you can't use the elfin bow right of the box anyways not until you can make up for the lack of accuracy on that weapon. (That applies if you want to do T5 with that weapon) So casual people are not locked out of anything. For the most part the primal weapons can be seen as vanity weapons.

Okay, i'm another bad guy... I have yet to beat this -- we just started out on him with my FC, and we are only progressing on him. But i love it, and it is one of the best encounter of the game IMO. I think what people don't like is that you can't carry people in there -- even if you play perfectly, anyone failing will lead to your death. However, if I may : What do you consider to be a challenging encounter that is well done ?

Also, i don't get how people are saying that the timing are too tight in it. To be honest, both timing of wieght of the land and landslide seems perfectly fine -- without knowing exactly when they are coming, i have never had any trouble dodging them (granted, i use a vpn).

Now, if you want to rage against the fact that the game basically require you to use a vpn and that is not normal, i get it. However, the problem is here with the lag of the game, not this particular encounter. And also, would love to know what you consider as good encounter. Turn 2 ? Where you are cheating your way through enrage timer because "rot is bad design and too punishing etc" ?

Good encounters? Titan EM, T4 & T5. My favourites so far .

Bad encounters? WP first boss...I can never ever dodge his AoE, the fat piece of s*** is so broken, must eat red gigantic triangle. </sarcasm, but seriously can't dodge.

I also dislike Garuda EM & Ifrit EM, so damn boring, almost falls asleep when I needed to farm them , Titan on the other hand is just awesome never gets boring. Funny enough BLM only needs Vortex the other two are meh, but must have all must collect all shines .

Titan even though he is scripted, he still gets the heart bumping, increases epeen by a mile when you find dat little piece of safe land in between bombs and landslides. There is also the two adds, makes BLM feels so good when he/she single handedly brings them to their knees faster than any other job.

Just because people whine about something doesn't mean its true. It just means there are people who have problems or don't want to deal with those mechanics.
