No one can dodge weights with 99% accuracy which is why there are groups selling runs with consistent victories, hmm yes.

Just did this in DF on my WHM (read: just hit 50 a day ago). I used a macro for plumes. I'd say the overall group had a 95% dodge rate and individually based, only one person ever got hit by them. He also never died to them. Wonder why that is (thanks stoneskin!). We got to the adds on 7 attempts of our 13.
The hard part about Titan Ex is not the weights (which a lot of you are complaining about). Even if you modified the strategy where you weren't all sitting in the same spot, you could eat a plume every single time and the healers would be able to keep you up without issue.
The biggest problem people have are the adds during cross bombs from what I've seen. That is something completely within your control. Knowing when to move from bomb to bomb while dodging the landslide WHILE DPSing the adds actually takes some skill. I don't know many people who are that good at multitasking. Most people I know have to actually stop to focus dodging rather than DPSing the adds.
Anyways, as mentioned there is this word extreme attached to the fight for a reason which will always be a valid point and always one you will be pointed to when you complain about it. I know you can somehow come to terms with not being able to do this fight and still do everything else in the game.

Its this hard thing for some players to accept that, you can throw ten thousand people at a challenge, and maybe, a thousand of them will never complete it. We're so used to a "you must be this tall to get a prize" systems, that it honestly amazes people that, yes, they just may never be tall enough. Ever. That you may play this game for a month more, and maybe, never get that new i90 weapon at the end of the week. This can happen to me, to anyone... in any game with challenge worth its salt in design... and that should be okay.
That is fun. If it isn't fun for you, I think you've only convinced yourself of that out of grooming from game developers that expected nothing from you. So they gave you everything.

I'm sorry, but you just spouted nonsense. From a game design standpoint, designing content that will not approach 100% utilization is a waste of money. There's a reason why games that never let you reach the carrot don't exist anymore; because the average player has grown wise to that kind of non-content. People will not put up with such a system in 2014. They would put up with it in the late 90s and the early 2000s, because MMOs were in their infancy and there wasn't much in the way of choice. In 2014, no MMO developer worth their salt would dare create content that did not approach 100% utilization, because if they did, they would lose and lose hard.
You can't just dangle one single carrot in front of the horse any longer; she's long since figured it out and will stop until you let her eat that carrot, and then use a sugar beet next time.

I will be honest here, I do not care for nor do I enjoy the xmode primals at all,
I have that right to not enjoy them but if someone asked me why, I would have to say is it is rough lfg for them and even more ruthless on df. Yes I know there is pf but I really don't have 5 hours to run wipes with different groups because that would not be any progress if I never group with them again. Rather for me I will enjoy other content that the game has to offer.
Its like someone tossed a bad onion in the room. Not everyone has to like it.
Only thing that I have seen x mode primals offer is rmt'rs or people selling runs for guild housing and or to make profit for themselves which some may be doing it for FC's or they may be doing it for RMT but either way I wont pay for a clear. I will wait till I can find a group that is willing to work together on it and learn it.

And yet: you still see consistent floods of posts wishing for the days of 11 and WoW at their peaks which were considerably more grindy and difficult (and out of reach) to alienate the majority of the population. Yoshi is also a hardcore MMO player. I can see why he would design content that he deems challenging enough for only the most devoted players to complete.
In fact, he has said multiple times that he wondered how many people would clear turn 5 before 2.1. You know this implies that he didn't expect people to clear it, right?
You can state your opinion regarding carrot mechanics but that's all it is: your opinion. Some of us enjoy what we're given. You are given a choice not to do what you do not like because this game offers up more than just hardcore fights.
The same amount of BS was spouted from players like you regarding Titan HM as well. Now, Titan HM is but a joke to most since many have just memorized the rotation. You (and others) have yet to do so which is why you struggle.
I am glad you, and others, will most likely never complete this challenge. It means this game isn't headed in the direction that makes all content beatable by casual players. Sadly, even Titan Ex will become a joke in a few months just like Titan HM despite what you think. I'm much more pleased with Twintania. However, the new DBM-type mod for FF14App makes the fight easier as well so...

I play games with content that is so difficult a minority of the playerbase will ever complete it but none the less they still enjoy a decent following of fans so I guess uh those people can get stuffed? Their taste for difficulty is evidently shared enough to support a niche market but you just went ahead and spoke for every person who played video games ever so we don't exist.
Like seriously is it so disagreeable that everyone has different tastes in games so they all should have a game out there that is for them in our multi-billion dollar video game market. Let everyone have their niche, and always consider the possibility that a game is not for you.

That's absurd. There's always going to be different content for people with different interests in an MMO that's going for broad appeal. If there are enough people who want so-called "punishing" content, then they're going to get it. If there are enough people who want more laid back less fail-prone content then they're going to get that, too. They aren't mutually exclusive. A huge percentage of the playerbase has no interest in PvP, was all that work a waste of money? No. A huge percentage of the playerbase never read quest text, is the money spent developing quest lore and dialogue a waste? No. Stop expecting the entire game to cater to you and recognize when something simply isn't your cup of tea and let the people who do like it enjoy it.
There is 100% utilization. You got to utilize content. You didn't succeed at the challenge that content gave you. Holy crap did you just equate victory to content? That they designed victory for you? You just did that. Read it. That is ludicrous. You equated winning as something that came with the box when you bought it...! That is what I'm talking about! You don't even, like, comprehend how looney what you just said actually is do you? All game designers do, is make sure they have systems that allow a player the opportunity to win. That's it. They make stairs. You climb them. If they fail to make enough steps for you to reach the top, that's on them. If you trip and fall because you're too uncoordinated to climb them, then that's on you.
game
gām
noun
a form of play or sport, esp. a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.
You want neither to be considered a part of game design. Forget video games. You've forgotten what a game is.
