Has anyone noticed this doing anything? Because as far as I can tell, it still breaks the same time the rest of my equipment does.

It's because, far as memory serves me, the durability loss reduction applies to everything you're using while you have that equipped.
So it should break at the same time as the rest of your gear, but they all should break later than otherwise
Oh, that makes sense. Any idea how much the +10 actually is then? I repair multiple times daily from crafting so much so I can't tell if it helps or not.
I would not know, sadly. I do not have one of those
The only way I can think of to test this. Equip a non Luminary item (preferably the lvl 50 one that you get from completing the class quest) Make 10 items, go with 10 of the same level 50 item that is relatively inexpensive to make. Make note of what your durability is before starting, craft the items, check your numbers again. Repair and then rinse and repeat with the Luminary item equipped. By going with 10 items, you can get a good idea if it is something that is noticable. If it doesn't seem to make a difference, then the next best thing to do, is go with 100 items instead. This is more tedious, but should prove if it is making any difference at all. If still no difference, then it is likely not doing anything and should be reported as a bug![]()
Good luck with this if you decide to give it a try, but if no one does it, I plan to do this once I finish getting my luminary item for weaver and will share the results here.
EDIT: quick synthesis seems to cause more wear and tear then standard synthesis so this may be a good thing to test as well.
Yet another reason to avoid QS as a plaque ... And as noted in another thread - NQ crafts (and gathers as well) will NOT contibute to the FC's credit increase (even if you craft to 99% quality but NQ) - only HQ crafts and gatered materials do add 12 FC credits ... putting in harsh dissadvantage any non-HQ-able crafts (like dyes) or mats (like so much needed shards, crystals and clusters)![]()
