If se wanted to kill you I said time they would ex. Garuda ex. Turn 4 has an enrage and it doesn't kill you correct? Why aren't u complaining about it? Also if you don't want to deal with rot then go kill the node and run 2 pld and 4 brds and silence everything. There's diff ways of thinking and you can't punish ppl for it. You see ppl running thru turn 3 with out fighting mobs is that an exploit too? Throw out all the exploits you want but se just said they won't change it so get over it.

I think SE rolling over and saying that they're not going to alter the fight totally undermines the work that the battle team put into this fight. They've turned a fight that required a certain amount of coordination into an endurance game. They're setting a precedent with this: if you can find a way to bypass fight mechanics then by all means do so.

So you dont just burn last boss w/out killing the adds in copperbell mines if you get it in roulette, or ever have healer kite adds on first boss of cutters cry? Are those exploits too? Does it make you a bad player since you arent doing all the mechanics of those fights.

Stop pretending that avoiding mechanics via high DPS or using a kiting strategy has anything to do with using a strategy that involves nothing more than a target dummy and some AoE heals when normally the boss has about 4 different mechanics you would have to deal with, they are completely different scenarios. I really don't care if people use this strategy, but pretending its the same thing as having high DPS or kiting adds is ridiculous.

My point is that if ppl just burned through the mechanics would you still have the same prob... say a grp of all i90 that takes 1 tank 1 heal and 6 dps and just burn the shit out of it before any mechanics really matter,, I just dont see how healing through it is an exploit but taking mechanics from a boss by burning through it isnt.

You don't kill a boss fast enough to avoid one rot rotation, one laser line, or one ballast.

No matter how much DPS you bring, you are going through at least one of those.

Beyond that, dealing with additional monsters doesn't mean killing them. If the tank can tank them, if the dps can kite them, that's dealing with them.

The problem is that avoiding mechanics because of being overgeared, smarter, faster, better, stronger, OR working around them because them seem less consequential (Like adds or feeding slimes), OR doing it because there is no direct reward (T3) doesn't matter. Playing in a manner not intended is playing in a manner not intended. You don't get to pick and choose. Either do all encounters as purely as possible, using all elements as intended, or kindly STFU.
