O_o.. That's pretty bad when even the Dev team doesn't know what to do with them.. I wonder... maybe they just sit around making random items with no use? Then why put it in game??
Dude, tell the devs they ought to give the Beastcoins a purpose in acquiring Beastmen-specific resources. Like, say, components for armor. The storyline we see going on in the game is on a slant towards a possible City-State/Beastman alliance, so why not start with a trade alliance for players to take advantage of?
Things I could see being made possible would be the acquisition of rare metals and other resources, as well as refined materials that only one of each Beastman tribe can create.
Like, say...since the Ixali's patron is Garuda, that signifies wind. They could produce blades that have a highly imbued wind damage element to them that can only be bought with Beastcoins.
Honestly! I'm tired of hearing so much about aspects of the game where the developers have absolutely no clue as to their purpose. It's as if they just tossed it in on a whim! Rukkirii, pass this on to Tanaka, please: "If it has no purpose, DO NOT IMPLEMENT IT. It is absurd to be implementing something that has no purpose, just for the sake of fluff. That's a waste of man-hours that would have been better spent working on more tangible aspects of the game. No wonder you got demoted, old man!"
some of the old npc dialog and whatnot implied that kobolds had some special armor/smithing skills, and if you could trade/deal with them you could get some cool gears. i would have assumed beast man coins would be for things like that, similar to what you said, special recipes, maybe special ingredients, possibly access to special gathering nodes. Buuuuut looks like that probably wont happen.Dude, tell the devs they ought to give the Beastcoins a purpose in acquiring Beastmen-specific resources. Like, say, components for armor. edit: pass to tanaka? he probably had a plan for it, npc text implies some uses. Its just a case where it may not fit yoshidas overall plan, or he is unsure whether he wants to spend the resources implementing it.

Rukkirii, I recommend that you do not pass that on to Hiromichi Tanaka. Not that it's necessarily incorrect, but if you feel your duty as a Community Representative compels you to do so ... pass this on to Naoki Yoshida instead.Rukkirii, pass this on to Tanaka, please: "If it has no purpose, DO NOT IMPLEMENT IT. Oh, definitely keep them in. There's so much potential to be done with them, especially with the planned introduction of the Beastmem camps. From using the currency to enter into BCNM like battles at each of the camps, to trading it with Goblin intermediaries to acquire rare and useful Beastmen items, for weapons and armor or something to be used in crafting. One such reward could eventually net us various beastmen hats!
So let the devs know that we want them to have a use and give us a good reason (and good and varied rewards) for collecting them.

If you ask me for my opinion, I'd suggest to them:
When beast tribe lairs open in the later patches, such as O'Ghomoro (Kobold Lair), Pag'lthan (Amalj'aa Lair) and so on, they should have at least one friendly or cooperative beastmen that offers you rare gear, abilities, or items at his shop (sort of like Guild Marks) in return for a set amount of Beast Coins and depending on the value of each coin as well (3 total for each).
Just some food for thought rather than get lazy and use them as an excuse to take up inventory space and eventually NPCing them off. I've been collecting them all for some time now and hope they use them for something useful.
Maybe... You can buy a cool looking mask that resembles one of the key tribesman, and in doing so enables you to not get aggro'd by them out in the field. Which also gives you some elemental stat bonuses, depending on the tribe. Considering Amalj'aa are Fire from Ifrit, Ixali are Wind from Garuda, and Kobolds are Earth from Titan, and so on...
I think being able to wear a mask and looking like one of them would be silly but really cool, especially with nice effects like that.

+1 to this. Masks of the different tribes would be excellent, and if they removed aggro it would be even better. They like giving us hats, so I'm all for getting a few more. Of course, with that comes the caveat that I'll need more inventory space to hold all my hats!Maybe... With leads to... currency for gobbiebags quests, each of which requires a different beastmen currency! 'Cause I'm a Greedalox.
