    Sprint disadvantage for a melee vs caster

    I like how casters can sprint every time its up and never receive a negative effect towards their performance, but melee/archers suffer when sprinting (TP loss).

    I think overall, the abilities and freedom casters in general have is retarded. Swiftcast, pets, sprint, surecast, dots that hurt on the run... I understand they are changing up the flow of things, but this should have been looked at on release of PVP.

    Flavor of the month setups are dumb... scholar/smn/blackmage... lol

    i just beat a team with my own party of SMN/BLM/SMN naked. i was the only one wearing the gear since i was the tank... we won comfortably and easy with the ammount of cc we had.



    because there is nothing an OP setup can do.

    I find it unfair that melees can use spells like they want while we are getting instant interupted.

    unless you havent heard yet, you might get nerfef in that department soon.... scholar and summoner are getting pvp nerfs on abilities and probably the pets.... a reminder though, these nerfs will be pvp only and your pve skills will work has they worked so far....

    Hopefully they don't nerf it to the point where it isn't even fun to play anymore. I guess this first set of nerfs will determine how SE deals with balancing. I feel like microing your pet should still give you an advantage if you take the time to do it.

    Agreed... this is a very delicate situation. A nerf might be needed, but the hard part is finding the balance point.

    They're just putting the shoe on the other foot. Nothing is more fun than having to decide between killing Eos and the SCH and trying to keep that other tank off of your back while explaining to people that Eos is the reason they have this issue (especially if you have an archer who's able to alternate targets to force healers to stop to heal). There's a few ways around this via applying pressure but the big thing about solo cue is that you don't get the same amount of communication as a premade which is a gamble.

    My prediction: SE will keep war amazingly devastating in PvP so later down the line you must do lolPvE to get PvP stuff... and that will fix the 'lack of tank' issues. /pets cat.

    Sprint would be fine if Weapon Throw was actually useful, this means:
    • Reduce delay by a lot so that what we see is what matches what the server sees (player orientation)
    • Straffing runs as fast as running straight and cancels out Sprint removal, remove orientation requirements from Weapon Throw
    • Again, fix delay between server-clients so that melee can hit kitting targets

    Either way I don't see a requirement for Sprint as long as ranged classes have forms of CC, which they do. It's been suggested many times, make TP users sprint mana-hungry, this skill should be off skill resources anyway. If everything else was fixed I wouldn't mind however, casters are very easy to interrupt so having a bit of room is nothing to make drama about.
