When MT Garuda on PLD, I just pop Rampart right after Friction. Whether they jump then WW or just WW after friction the 20 second window will have you covered. Focus target Garuda is an important tip and should be added to the OP. Garuda and Chirada love to stagger their Slipstreams.

This is exactly what I do when MTing Garuda as WAR, except with Thrill of Battle and/or Vengeance. I also try to apply Storm's Path on both targets and Inner Beast right after Friction is done casting.

Updated with the Focus Target tip and thanks!

    Tip for Ifrit Extreme:
it is better to time your swaps on Ifrit during his animation when he puts debuff on healer ( searing wind ).
Ifrits rotation of abilities is programmed the way that tanks do not get more than 3 stacks of debuff between searing winds.
So when tank see ifrit turns away to spit on whm - pop voke + combo.

Something someone in a DF run of Ifrit Extreme showed me today. Have the tanks and DPS make a sort of triangle. With both tanks at around 90 or so degrees along whatever edge you're on, so if he attacks one with Incinerate, it doesn't hit the other. and the DPS would make the point of the triangle. This way, except for nails/etc, the tanks can mostly stay in the same spots and just bounce him back and forth.

Like a slice of pie, the tanks are on the outer ring where the cuts are and dps is the point.

One issue I see with this method is during Nails when the tank needs to face Ifrit in a specific direction so that it doesn't hit the melee DPS as they're killing the nails that are really close to Ifrit.

Generally, the way we've been doing it was to tank swap during periods where there won't be an Incinerate for several seconds, so that there is no risk of both tanks taking the same Incinerate.

    Greetings!

In a future patch, we will be making changes to the focus target feature so that when enemies, such as primals, temporarily leave the battlefield the focus target will not disappear.

Great news for tanks! Thank you!

I also hope that this change will also carry over to other things like: If your focus is a friendly target, the target dies and gets Raised, you lose the focus on that target and have to re-focus him.

Holmgang in EX Titan: Its a massive pain expecting that i won't fall off during landslide/upheaval (for those moments before a big hit and i used it to survive a MB + auto attack, or when realizing a bad swap is about to landslide me off the edge and i try to pop a holmgang to save myself.

its bad enough that my latency (i live in a pacific island far far away from US and Japan) is severely hindering my survivability (even with Leatrix, please add .2 or even .15 seconds to landslide!), i at least wish that holmgangs' immobilize effect would work.

i heard they are addressing the Holmgang 2.1 bug in the next patch (2.15?)

    WHEN?

Awesome news! My only additional QoL request on this would be to keep focus targets through death when used on players. (Both target's death or player's death). This should only stay focused if its a player that is defeated, not monster.

The Spiny Plumes always aggros to the player with the 2nd most hate in my experience, which is usually the OT. What is random is the location the Spiny Plume appears and what can end up happening sometimes is, if the OT is slow to grab the Plume, the healer (for example) can end up grabbing hate. This can make it appear as though the Plume spawned with hate on somebody else, but it didn't.
