    Limsa Lominsa Crashes

I have somewhat of a strange issue in that I don't seem to be able to create a character and play for more than 5 minutes in Limsa before the game randomly crashes to desk top with no warning or error message. Now the thing is I know that my computer can run this game as I have another character created and played exclusively in Ul'dah and have got that to level 16 (I just started ) with no crashes or issues. Also same with Gridania I can play there with no problems.

I have tried reinstalling the game twice so far yet this issue still persists and I am not sure what else I can do other than avoid Limsa which would be somewhat of a shame as I did want to start there as I like the look of the area (reminded me somewhat of Selbina/La Theine Plateau/Ronfaure from my FFXI days)

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

EDIT: hmm after a bit more testing it seems the problem might be more specific. I decided to take my Uldah character on a little ferry ride to see how she fared in Limsa. She was able to run all around the city with the exception of the cooking guild, where it again crashed to desktop. After checking my Limsa created character this is where he crashed the last time too.

Something wrong with the file that relates to that area maybe? Though as I said I have reinstalled a couple of times so I really have no idea.

Now all I need to do is stay in game long enough to move my character out of the area

When you say it crashes, how does it crash? Does it give any errors? Does it just close out of the window immediately? Does it stop responding? etc..

Its just closes out with the "Windows has encountered an error" message. Event log pasted below if that helps (though not being any sort of computer expert it means nothing to me):

The most typical causes for the ‘0xc0000005: Access Violation’ error are: corrupt registry, malware, faulty RAM, faulty drivers, incorrectly written, installed or updated software and even Windows security features.

Give this a try, and post your results.

I am sorry but could you explain what this does and what you want me to post when you say "post your results." I know you are trying to help but I don't like to run stuff if I am not sure what it does and looking at the description this is beyond my knowledge of computing. Sorry

Copy-Pasta from the link I posted, From Microsoft...(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...rnals/bb896645)

Process Monitor is an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. It combines the features of two legacy Sysinternals utilities, Filemon and Regmon, and adds an extensive list of enhancements including rich and non-destructive filtering, comprehensive event properties such session IDs and user names, reliable process information, full thread stacks with integrated symbol support for each operation, simultaneous logging to a file, and much more. Its uniquely powerful features will make Process Monitor a core utility in your system troubleshooting and malware hunting toolkit.

And by post your results, I mean Copy-Paste Any Errors you get Here so I can see them, and figure out whats giving you that error.....
