I was looking at all the pvp weapons of ilvl 70 and i noticed something. I understand the shield is supposed to make up the stats missing from the one handed weapon to equal it to the 2 handed counterparts. But what I dont understand is why is there a cap on the materia? The one handed weapons cap at about 14 on a stat where the two handed can cap at around 20. The shield has no slots so it cant make up for the missing space. Also the shield has accuracy on it which is totally useless, considering it is the only pvp piece with accuracy on it and there being no need for it on PLD because you don't miss. The sword has 14 det and shield has 8 acc which equals 22 of a stat which puts it on par with the other weapons right? wrong. The stats get shafted and you are behind in stats. I think the sword and shield should share one stat that isn't accuracy so 14 det and 8 det. then the swords materia slots should be able to cap as high as a two hander or give the shield a slot to make up for it. Just sucks that I am missing out on 8 of a useful stat on a shield and 8 of useful stat that I could meld into my weapon. Has anyone noticed this? I know it's not that big of a deal but I could play warrior and just have a straight up stat advantage. It just bothered me a bit. Its the same way with allagan weapons. You get more stats out of using a i95 2hand weapon than using a i95 sword with i90 shield which is a tad bit... stupid. Discuss?
