    [Suggestion] Odin/Behemoth

Because we don't have enough of these threads~

    [rant]

Please change these to a Guildhest style piece of content, which can only be accessed when they "spawn" on a server.

Their current implementation is god awful. A zerg fest, plain and simple, with no thought involved at all. If they were similar to Guildhests (or Dhorme Chimera), then they could at least be an interesting piece of content, with actual mechanics. You'd remove all those ridiculous server issues, as well. I can actually see them now (thank god), but I damn sure never know what the hell is going on in that massive crowed of lag and people. It is such a damn shame that both these pieces of content cannot be properly experienced because they're FATEs. As FATEs, they don't even do anything, they're pathetic. OK, not a lot of FATEs have actual consequences, but a few do. Whether players successfully participate in Attack on Highbridge has some actual consequences, something as big as Odin and Behemoth? Nothing. Why are they even FATEs?

I'd much rather see these "spawn" similar to Dhorme Chimera; you can see them on the open world if you're on the quest, run up to it and your party enters the instance to fight them. Rather than a quest triggering them, however, they'd just spawn as they currently do. After X amount of time, or X amount of people attempt it, they can despawn, keeping the same sense of urgency. Heck, you could even make it a bit more interesting than that; stick a FATE around them as well. A tough one, one that stops you from just running up to the instance and entering. Behemoth spawns, around him are dozens of frenzied beasts blocking your path. Odin spawns, around him are his nine Valkyries (or at least, whatever the adds in Einherjar were meant to be) blocking your path. Then you'd have a server coming together to get a few people into the actual fight (people probably hate that thought, but I think its awesome). Server fails to actually beat them (I'll admit, I'm not too sure how that would work with multiple people attempting)? Those FATEs that were defending Odin/Behemoth now run rampant throughout the zone until their next spawn. Oh look, a consequence...

Yet, I do believe people should be able to get an easier access to these events. Maybe some planned events (like once a month, or twice, give a chance to EU/NA not in their data centers to get it), where an instance opens, full of powerful trash mobs and traps everywhere. And a real maze maybe. One you may fail to beat if you mess things a bit to much. Then at the end of the maze : the beast awaits, and an épic fight can begin.

This could work with the actual 3 groups alliance system imo

I think my problem is I haven't actually seen Odin or Behemoth in the last three weeks. They seem to be on some kind of spawn timer where they only appear when I'm at work or asleep.
