Commendations

For commendations. If im in a party with someone prior to joining a DF, i cannot vote. so lets say im premade with 2 other people and 1 pug from df

i cannot commend that solo guy. if he did really well and stuff.

wouldn't it be more better if we can commend everytime we ran dungeons? as in we can commend anyone other than the premade we came in with? just makes more sense to me

I agree. People in pre-made groups should be able to commend outsiders, especially considering that outsiders CAN give commendations to people in your pre-made group. I've already ran a few times in trios of players, so I've started to assume they're doing that also in the interest of ensuring commendations to themselves or their friends (rather than 'competing' for commendations with some stranger from another server?); of course a loud voice in my head tells me I'm just getting paranoid, but hey, the OP's suggestion would simply fix it all!

I agree. I run dungeons a lot with my healer friend (I'm a tank), and we can't give commendations to the DPS. I know DPS don't get as many commendations in general, so I try to make it a point to give them commendations when they do well (when I queue up alone).

It would be nice if we could give commendations to people we didn't queue with. I understand not being able to give commendations to people you queue with, but please let us give them out to others.

This, so much. Please let me commend strangers who are friendly, helpful, or simply awesome, even if I queued with some other people.

All I can give them now is a weaksauce comment that I would have commended them if only I could.

It's impossible to vote when in a premade group in order to avoid abusing the system where friends would go together in order to secure themselves votes everytime.

I find the feature very good as it is.

After reflexion, I suppose it would be even better if it was simply impossible to vote for people you entered with, so that you can only vote for someone you don't know, even when you entered with a partial premade.

It seems to me they have this system in place to encourage more people to use the duty find option. Albeit I too run with another person most of the time, and don't see why this would be a problem as long as there is no option to vote for the person you are in party with, or make it so the leader of that party only can give the accommodation to someone else out side of the party that why some dude that happened to not be in the party doesn't just get 3 commendations because he wasn't in the premade party.

This. And if they were to limit the voting to only the pug'd party member, that means a single member picked up in the queue would by default be the only person able to receive a commendation, which also skews the system.

Except the pug can give commendations to people in pre-made groups. At the very least there should be an equal trade.

Commendations aren't forced, one can just leave without giving any. I don't think restricting the power to give commendation to the leader would work. The pug would then feel forced to impress that person alone. Considering the pug can commend anyone in the pre-made party, it's only fair that they should all be able to commend him.
