Dot bug?

Hi All,

Just curious if this is a bug. I was in a party with a friend and and I could not see hit dots. We tested it again and he could see mine but I couldn't see his. I also joined a fate party and the only dots I could see were mine. I did fool around with some character configuration prior to this issue but cant seem to locate an option to turn off other players dots or not. Is this a bug? has anyone else had or seen this issue?

I think I noticed this with my Dragon Kick Debuff on the boss. I was fighting with other monks and it seemed like their Debuffs were overwriting mine. I don't recall this happening in the past as I use my boss debuffs to keep track of where I am in rotation and I recall my DoTs/debeffs always appearing in green numbers at the start of the list. Now they disappear on me. Still need to test some more.

Hmmm, that's strange as well. I wonder if its a major bug with the dots. I couldn't figure out why my dots where the only ones showing up on the fate bosses in an 8 man party.

This is how Dragon Kick works, someone elses will overwrite yours or vice versa. DoTs however will not, each person with a given DoT will have their own.

I'm on Ps3 by the way. maybe its a ps3 version issue.

Character Configuration > UI Settings > general tab, scroll down near the bottom, check if the little box next to "Display only Detrimental effects you inflict" is clicked or not.

It most likely is the issue, as I turned it on to see what would happen and it sounds EXACTLY like what is happening to you.
