The artifact gear was an actual challenge to get because of that, Sadly, coil gear is easier to get now than AF gear was to get in 1.0...Turn 1 is easy compared to those trees.

To new players: Walking (Not running) allowed you to not aggro those trees, and yes, they were awesome.

No, there is no sarcasm there.
While I am not a 1.0 player, I have played other MMO games and loved to be sent into places which would almost certainly kill me and my companions if even one of us would make a wrong step.

Here I can walk into a "high level" area and eradicate the entire population on my own while taking on several mobs at a time without even feeling the threat of being killed, or even hurt badly.

It's much more fun having nothing posing a threat to you outside of the random boss Cleave. She wasn't being sarcastic, it was a pretty fun and interesting challenging trying not to get slaughtered in places you shouldn't be in 1.x - Even when people actually took down a Guardian of the Grove by throwing countless bodies at it. It's fun little challenges that the new generation of MMO gamers seem to fear or find "archaic."
