Well the intention of the thread was plainly set out in the title. You could have just... not clicked on it. This is usually the case with just about every complaint-style thread.

You think something having potential is a slim reason not to give up on something? I find that attitude extraordinarily baffling. In the world I live in, potential can be the meaning of and the reason for just about everything. Potential is the untold story and, often enough, it is well worth waiting for.

Have you ever looked up the dictionary definition of 'forum'? "A place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged." Perhaps the real problem is that people feel these online forums are strictly for people who agree with one another, rather than places of legitimate discussion. A place to pat each other on the back, rather than have any real conversations at-length.

No one is forcing you to read complaint threads, and for all the world of "why don't you just leave" or "why are you still here", people behind those phrases refuse to take their own advice: As soon as you get into the thread and notice you don't care for it... why don't you just leave?

My guess is exactly the reason we're all here: To discuss.

Therefor, you've basically debunked your own logic. *shrugs*

Then, if you have "too much to do" and are a "kid in a playground", I guess only one quote remains...

"So why are you still here (in this thread, or on these forums)?"

Really? You'd hold onto an abusive relationship because it has 'potential' to make you happy? Who's logic is baffeling here? It's fairly black and white to me. If you are not enjoying something, then you don't spend your money to play it. You don't have to 'give up' so much as learn to spend your time and feedback wisely and not play a game that's not satisfying you, even if you see the 'potential' in it.

When it comes to the point that you enjoy it again, put your money down. Instead of sitting with your hand in your pockets, giving your money away, and giving little feedback except "I'm bored."

Pot calling the kettle black. This entire thread was not designed for discussion, it was designed for confirmation bias. The fact that I am being attacked for challenging the perspective of this thread is evidence enough to the hypocrisy of the point you're trying to make. You made a statement, I've engaged that statement with a personal observation to counterpoint that statement.

Most times, I do, and your retorts illustrate why most times I do. There's no room for discusion here. I asked a simple question: Why are you still here? And I questioned the prospect of 'potential' being a reason for keeping a subscription. There was no intended insult: Merely an acknowledged lack of understanding and an expression of frustration at character of conduct that is, in fact, causing me grief.

I acknowledge this is a forum, however rather than being a forum of conversation, as you claim, it is instead becoming an echoing chamber for the aggravated, like you are displaying.

My guess is exactly the reason we're all here: To discuss.
Then rather than assault those who put this discussion, and the subjects presented, into question, I recommend you approach the topic academically, and answer the question honestly. There must be something you enjoy other than simply the potential, for you to stay around.

Your biting tone is noted, but I'll answer honestly: Because I'm at work, and can't play the game. So, like a masochist, I come here looking for what would be the sharing of information and the constructive method of feedback, and as always, find ego stroking and pointless whining. Again, this would be a discussion if people were to take blofin's example and LIST the things that would make them excited, instead of distill the conversation to "OMG SE FIX IT I"M BORED"!

That will always remain my criticism of threads like these. I'm more than willing to engage in constructive conversations as to adding more content or adjusting content that would improve the game. Usually, when called upon to do so, the opposing perspective always comes up short. Would you like to be an exception?
