:O Finally! An interesting read. Those seem hard to find on here lately with all the naysayers. I like the idea of the temples. I do hope they have some interesting things in store for the gods and goddesses. I honestly wonder if they have forgotten about it..Or maybe its just the fact that it hasnt been talked about too much in depth in a good deal of time? Do want more ideas!

final fantasy X has amazing temples and great story within those temples. However, in FFXIV, there is 12 guardians "Gods and Goddesses", and I'm sure when SE is done with some of the major updates they will tell us more about our guardians. I'm glad that you like the idea.

As mentioned in the OP, each of The Twelve has quests, or some related thing associated with them that you can do to improve your reputation and faction with them. Whether they be special quests, leves, killing enemies of your Goddess or even donating items to her temple. (Azeyma is the Keeper of the Sun, Goddess of Inquiry and commands the element of Fire. Kill Wind Elementals and turn in their eyes to gain favor.)

Earning enough points and you can be granted small, long lasting buffs. (Azeyma, The Warden, grants you a small defensive bonus that can be stacked with protect and lasts a few hours, etc.)

Once your reputation is high enough, you are judged worthy and allowed entrance into their specific realm without incident, and can bring whoever is in your party along.

Conversely, if your reputation is not high enough, you can fight the guardians protecting the realm to gain access, but know this, the Goddess is watching and all of her creatures will not be pleased.

Each of the Twelve is connected to another in some way. For example, Azeyma is the sister of Menphina, Thaliak's lover, the daughter of Althyk, and the mother of Llymlaen and Nophica. If you are a follower of Azeyma, these others will be more favorable towards you.
