BLM Changes-Pretty much shafted

After reading the new patch changes for BLM it seems as though we got screwed so hard from this patch. The only thing that looks remotely better is freeze the spell that almost no one uses.
Scathe power is decreased from 120 to 100
Blizzard 2 lowered potency
You can no longer do virus rotations very well so much for timing skills and using cross class abilities.
Allagan Boots of Casting-Oh hey thanks for removing crit and the accuracy that we need for turn 5 and giving us spell speed and less determination instead!
Thanks for not even having our ancient buckler drop for the first 3-4 months of the game so that we can have our useless turn 5 weapon be crappier than the relic.
Also thanks for the lack of update in the ilvl of the Allagan sceptre as well! I REALLY appreciate all the great changes you've made to my class to make me want to play it more. I'm looking forward to using a twintania drop that's crappier than the relic.

About the boots... you know your myth boots have the exact same stats ? It will take one week cap to buy them next patch.

About your relic, it's just probably a typo... I'm sure they've upgraded it aswell.

Yea I know the myth boots have the same stats but I already have allagan boots and don't see the necessity of changing those stats. To Ragnirok, tell me one thing thats really better this patch for BLM's. In addition, I've cleared twintania 5 times and have it on farm already and there's little incentive to actually wanting to the crappy sceptre which has worse stats when the shield is not in it.

Yeah I can agree about the boots.. I'm a SMN they changed the stats so they're worthless to me now and I have to buy the mytho one which are worse than the ACTUAL allagan one.

For anyone actually on twintania as well. Virus was a very high skill cap skill to be used because you had to time it well for a 10% reduction for twintanias death sentence/auto attack/plummet combination. Its just a rant I was hoping for something good to happen with this patch.

But first, class balance changes in patches aren't meant to be like waking up to Christmas. Sometimes you get buffed, sometimes you get nerfed sometimes both and sometimes none.

BLM are in a great place and people were even expecting a nerf. All we got (that we know of) is a Blizzard II and Scathe nerf. Now Scathe, I don't see why but I also don't care that much.
Blizzard II is reasonable cause our AoE is ridiculous and will probably still be ridiculous.

Now Freeze.
The is potentially going to take the place of Blizzard II in our Rotation.

Potency has been increased from 20 to 100, and the casting time has been reduced from 3.5 to 3 seconds.

It now does the old Blizzard II damage, is 0.5 seconds longer and does cost a good bit more mana (but still only one tick of Umbral I regen).
Bam! A new Blizzard II (unique to BLM, since Blizz II is cross classed now) and only 0.5 seconds longer.
We also got a nice bind included in it.

I think we got off easy overall.

The following battle mechanics have been changed specifically for PvP:
*Casting will always be interuppted upon receiving direct damage.

That, and the scathe nerf, good luck dealing damage as BLM in pvp...
