What happened to Queue times?

Since the update, I haven't had to wait more than 10 mins for anything on a DPS job (which is usually all I play). Admittedly, I haven't done any EX primals or CT as of yet, but for everything else, With the addition of duty roulette, queue times have never been faster for me. You must not be playing at peak times or something.

Crystal Tower (65 minutes)
Extreme Garuda (45 minutes, got in, tank left, everyone left, requeue another 45 mins)
Hard Ultima (50 minutes)
For the most part...
No one wants to DF special this content. They are using party search and doing premade parties for best chance of winning.

Hard Roulette (48 minutes) haven't done hard roulette because I always EXP with someone else so this isn't an option.

I think the instancing servers are maxed out. This is not surprising, considering every time they make an excuse, they make it sound ever more like the servers are all last-century hardware donated to them by charity.

As a tank, pre-RDF, it was just bang, insta-queue. Even as a healer, you could 'see' the instancing server assembling the party and looking for a tank. However, as a tank queuing now, the 'party assembly' doesn't even start for several minutes.

This makes me think that the servers are, in fact, running at capacity right now and everyone's 'stuck in the hopper' so to speak.

My main is black mage, default language is set to English, and I consistently get in within 15-20 min on blm. It always says the average wait time is 30+ but I never wait more than 20.

If you are DFing for regular dungeons, queue times are significantly up. There is a small delay (Even for tanks) because as someone said, they are running at full capacity during peaks.

However, for anything beyond 50, specially the new content (Ultima, Moogle, Ex's), you are better off using the Party Finder. Almost no one will waste their time doing it through DF, when setting up a party trough the Finder is so easy.

If you form a premade on your server for CT and que with 8, the que is insanely faster.

The problem with Q's on 24 man content is that you end up with odd ball scenarios

Imagine 3 groups queing for CT

Group 1:
1 Tank
4 DPS

Group 2:
0 Tanks
4 DPS
2 Healers

Group 3:
2 Tanks
2 Healers
2 DPS

Now imagine there are 2 tanks in the que solo, and 20 dps in the que solo, and 1 healer in the que solo with these 3 partial mades in the que.

1 tank will go to Group 1, and 1 tank will go to group 2, leaving group 2 waiting on a tank. 2 Dps will go to Group 3. But it's now possible for a 4th partial made group to que with 2 tanks and 2 healers and they would get instant que even though Group 2 has been in the que longer. Because the system does not break up partial mades. Group 2 needs 1 tank, but there are not any tanks in the que solo to fill that 1 tank spot. So when Group 4 joins with 2 tanks they take group 2's spot. Group 2 is like "wtf" why no tanks join us?

Because they got stranded.

In short, you should never que alone. You will get a faster que as 4 dps, than solo dps. And the fastest que possible as 2 dps and 2 tanks.

Honestly, this is why I started a tank class to begin with. It allows you to quickly get the DR stuff done each day (Plus tanking is actually really fun). Save your DPS for Party Finder, RT pugs and FC runs.

I've always waited +/- 45mins for a dungeon when queued as a dps... nothing new for me. Now I just use duty roulette and party finder.

But maybe that's why. People make groups on their own servers, so less of em to be matched with in DF.

Currently in queue for 143 minutes for CT, average wait time shows as 23 minutes, at the 90 minute mark, average showed as 9 minutes. While I'm tabbed out typing this, I can assure you the group was formed and I missed to click ready.
