people keep saying that it's not with the ISP but majority of people complaining the issue is with Verizon Fios... I as well have this issue all day till maybe after midnight EST.

I'm also a Verizon customer, have been having the same issue with lag since the newest patch.

Used to not be able to play without a vpn. Then about 1 month prior to 2.1, I tried playing without my vpn again and found out I was able to and stopped using the vpn for ffixv arr ever since. I just thought that SE actually did something when they asked people for their connection infos.
Then after 2.1 hotfix, I was suddenly getting really bad lag again (the world around you stopped and the connection status is S:XXX R:0 and then after a random number of seconds, game would speed up everything around me to catch up) and I tried using my vpn with the game again. To my dismay, the situation is still the same and I'm still lagging really badly with the vpn on even though everything else I use with the vpn was near flawless. Can't help but feel that the patch/hotfix did something.

Fios here as well, and was getting horrible lag freezes last night. Never happened before the 24th fix/update.

and it was extended, but its over now.
Whats the word after the fix last night? Anyone still having problems?

I have Time Warner and never had this horrible lag, only in the last week, the game is almost unplayable.

I have Fios as well. Been having lag freezes since the hotfix. Mostly in CT and in congested areas. Also, while crafting there are delays in actions. I tried to craft in a zone that was relativity empty and it still happens. This was never an issue before this hotfix.
