Same for me and I also have Verizon Fios. Posted on a different thread about this earlier. Hope they fix it soon..

That's the very definition of an unplayable lag issue, and it's consistant with what everyone else has been seeing. Somehow I managed to eek out Ultima and CT wins last night amongst the regular rubber banding.I've not had unplayable lag issues as yet but I have had an instance in CT where the game would "freeze" where it looked like I was about to dc but my send would be at about 15 while my receive was at about 6000+ then after 3 or 4 min it would play out the whole fight in fast forward and I'd be able to play again without issue until the next boss fight when it would happen again.
It seems to be even worse after the hotifx yesterday. It's not only happening for me in dungeons, DoH and DoL are both having very noticeable delays in actions.
putting [dev response requested] won't get you a dev response. Please refrain from placing tags like that in your topic titles, it just clutters them up and doesn't accelerate resolution of your question/issue.
the community team is on vacation anyway, so the soonest you could possibly get a dev response is after the new year.
I've also had this issue since the 2.1 patch. Everyone will stop for like 5-10 seconds then dart off somewhere else, almost like there has been a clog up of information. I can't say if 2.1 caused this since i stopped playing 3 weeks prior to 2.1. But i've been loving the 2.1 patch so i tend to log in more often now. Also just a note. This seems to only happen after 10PM EST for me and i'm with Charter communications. Just replaced my router and modem because of this, so hopefully it fixes issues.
PS: Happy holidays everyone!
I used to have this problem, but I actually found an odd fix. Hopefully it works for all of you too. What happens is if I launch FFXIV with ANY OTHER PROGRAM open, I will consistently lag for 10+ seconds at a time. HOWEVER, the fix I found is that if I close all the programs on my computer (excluding non-intensive programs such as an instant messenger) the lag will not occur. However one type of program that will cause this lag for me are all voice chat programs. Raidcall mumble teamspeak ANYTHING related to VOIP will cause my xiv to experience the 10 second lag if it is open before XIV. Try this out and see if it works for you.
This problem began right after the last Network Maintenance for every person with Verizon FIOS. It's not related to individual PC lag.
same issue here, and had verizon fios too.
exact same issues and i'm with BT broadband in uk
It's been pretty bad for me as well last couple hot-fixes. I've had to move before plumes spawn to avoid them (look at others' positions and run from group) which is less than useful when trying to get a healer relic. Also saw someone be hit with a landslide from 20+ ft out of it (was already and sprint and went from one edge to the other). That was... humorous, but surely frustrating for the victim.
I personally don't have Fios, but I have Verizon as my ISP. I've been having a lot of freezes since yesterday, and it happens during most of the day. It only gets better during midnight.
Some players on Technical Support suggest that it has to do with the snowstorm that hit the northeast part of United States, which caused a large amount of traffic problems.
I hope the maintenance we're having today will fix it.
