Is there anyway to make macros queue up?

With normal abilities, I can press the new on in a sequence while the previous GCD is almost finished. When i do this, The new ability always procs as soon as the global cool down completes. I made my first ever macro today and it doesn't queue up this way. I have to wait for the Previous GCD to completely finish before I can activate it.

Is this normal?

The macro I'm using is...

/macroname "skull sunder"
/ac "skull sunder" <t>
/wait 1
/ac "bloodbath" <me>

It works fine, but the fact that it won't queue like normal abilities is annoying.
