Healer Class?

I am still new to the game and haven't had a chance to group yet. I noticed there doesn't seem to be an equivalent to WHM. Is it just a matter of what skills you choose on your Conjy,THM? Does anyone know any sample builds? Or are dedicated healers not really needed later in the game?

Well for now, ranking up both Con and Thaum will give you access to both Sacrifice and Cure and you can use them in any combat class. Dedicated healers aren't really needed at the moment unless your fighting tough enemies like the NMs but it does help

I make sure I have them no matter what class I play

From what I've heard from high level Healers.. They have conj leveled for the spells.. but the range on the spells suck compared to a THM so they cross class skills to get the ability of a conj with the range of a THM... I.E A friend uses protect and not everyone gets the buff because they are slightly out of range, very annoying.

CON has more healy goodness, but THM is the most broken shit ever atm. You want both to at least 20 (it only takes a few hours to hit 20, and that'll unlock Cure II, and Sacrifice II).

A recent Q&A mentioned plans to make THM and CON more unique/separated. The question was specific to CON feeling redundant because THM can use their spells and do everything better, so...


If you really want to play a healer class, CON will probably be the better/preferred healer within a month or two...or three...ish.

Whatever you choose to do though, cross-class abilities and spells are very handy- and CON & THM complement each other allllllll the way to 50.
