Gear Set List

I wonder what can cause this,
I have tons of classes and set costume setups on my gear set list.
Often I log in and its all gone, Skills, key bindings, MNK, DRG,WAR, GLD, I have to keep re saving it over and over my skills and sets will save sometimes...
I have re installed the game 4 times and re formatted my hdd and o/s 3 times and still nothing helps.
Any advise or is it just my bad luck

Run the game as admin, that should fix you right up iirc.

This is an issue with windows 8 and something causing the data in the gear set and cfg to reset. I bought win 8 as an upgrade and have found that the kernel nt takes up 90% of the disk % not the cpu and forums say windows 8 does this because its bugged and has big big problems, I never ran into any issues what so ever on win 7 with this game or any. I would like a dev to read this and see if there is an issue to why win 8 and this game do not work right for many I have talked to. My rigs specs are beyond good so im not worried about all that its an issue that I have to re do my hot keys and watch the cut scene per 3 to 4 times when I log in to the game they are wiped clean and I have to re do.

Using W8.1, 0 problems.

yeah its 8.1 I bought it retail at the store and like sometimes it runs perfect and some times it will hang like very odd and shut down sometimes, I have updated it all the way and took off some stuff that slows start up programs since I build pc's I know a lot about this, But this I do not understand why this is happening.

All the files are still there, They are not being deleted but I can not use them its like they get wiped clean every 3 or 4 logins I do. I wonder if it could be an issue with the game?
Any advise would be great im going nuts
