There hasn't been a single dungeon or fight that I've seen so far that's helped me "improve my game." In fact, about 90% of things I encounter, I'm like, "Oh, it's like World in Flames" or "Oh, it's like Cosmic Barrage" or "Oh, hey, that's like Putricide's debuff!" It's an extreme sense of Deja Vu - only less complicated, less engaging Deja Vu.

I haven't seen Turn 5 there. It's possible there's a grand mystery in Turn 5 that will reveal to me how wrong I've been all this time, and will magically improve my gameplay. I doubt it, though.

Its true that anyone who has done Putricide is familiar with the 'pass the plague' mechanic, and everything offered in FFXIV can be found somewhere in a raid encounter in WoW. But then again, not everyone has played WoW and if they did, perhaps they weren't hardcore enough to see those fights. I do think that Square does a good job with their game mechanics, and new players do have an excellent lesson plan if they complete every dungeon/guildhest in sequence before moving onto the trials/raids. The difficulty progression is very steady, much moreso than WoW, where the difficulty sometimes varied heavily between encounters.

And no theres nothing 'new' in Turn 5, you can dissect the fight down to WoW mechanics if you wanted to.

I have to disagree with only that particular point : doing ADS in T1 DO preapare you for the bases of the ADS in T2, aka silencing high voltage, avoiding the rays...

If only... As both european and no-VPN user, this might prove much more difficult done than said. I often get hit by some shit while being way out of the red lines... even when never being in these at all

Yet those are basics which you should have already accustomed yourself with before even going into coil.
While silencing is not one such mechanic on many things outside of Coil. (Pre 2.1 Chimera comes to mind. I haven't fought him after yet) dodging is taught even at lower level.
    (See red lines, step out)

The T1 ADS fight does not prepare you for anything other than those two mechanics which are pretty much the easiest parts of the entire fight.

It seems like most people who do this already have turn 2 cleared multiple times.

I'm sure some of the people in this thread also think that if you're not pugging Titan to get relic for your 4th alt, and instead get overgeared FC members to carry you through, you're somehow doing it wrong.

Considering SE programmed the enrage to function this way, I say it's working as intended.

No problem with the lazy players method. However it would be hilarious if they ninja patched it to go super nova. That would give me a good chuckle

I'm laughing already, everyone would be like "what happened!?" ...everyone of course would be thinking it's the healers fault, and so they would try again, but wipe again and immediately start raging on healers...lol...

If that happens, please send someone over to pick me up from the floor.
Anyone that does not expect this to be fixed deserves to be laughed at by, well, pretty much the entire planet.
