Nonsense.I don't care if people exploit it and I'm not crusading to get it fixed, but I don't agree with it being a legitimate strategy either.
Part of the boss mechanic is the timer. By circumventing the timer you are circumventing the mechanic the way it was intended to be done. It's an exploit plain and simple.
But again, I don't care what people do. I won't judge them for doing it.
If there wasn't meant to be an alternate way of doing this fight then when the the timer gets to 0 clicks, it would be an instant wipe. Unless SE decide to put a stop to this method, it is absolutely legitimate.

If people can't do turn 2 legit in one shot after some practice, they are bad. Better off without them. We do it legit and and clear 1-4 in 40 mins or less every monday night with almost no effort. Still working on turn 5.
To your point though, yeah I think it's broke, they need to fix it so people can't use the cheat strategy. The enrage should be an instant wipe mechanic with no chance of healing through it.
Rot Strat is pretty easy, just number 4 people 1-5.
1
2
3
4
5
and have them stand in an arc like
1-----------------5
---2----3----4
The ST melee being the variable.
If a tank get's the rot, have the melee pick it up and take it to 5 before it expires. Then 5 passes it to 4 then 4 passes it to 3, then 2, then 1.
If 3 Get's rot they pass to 2, then 1, then 5, then 4.
If 1 get's rot they pass to 5, 4, 3, 2.
Go right to get rid of pacman and gravity wells.

And then get the star fire and die due to lag and being a melee (tank here) The least damage I can take is 1 branch. No time to avoid more than that, even at max tank range. And i usually take 2/3 branches and just die like a noob for not living in NA. Thanks a lot for these punitive AoEs again, Titan wasn't enough..
No seriously, the pacman is the easiest way to go, even if it's still hard to do. Yeah, Coil is hard, even the T2 that a bunch of elitist people call "so easy the cheap people should just die'.
/rant off

Him... guess it depends on where you live, but for us going right is the way to go. Dodging the firestorm is easy, never get hit by that and I'm a tank. Our melee never get's hit either. We have a 3 ranged 1 melee comp though.
But I seriously hope they patch this so people have to do it legit, sorry for the laggers, but the enrage strat is a cheap trick.

Who are you to claim what is legit and what isn't ? Stop being a stubborn elitist and accept that there is no "cheap trick", just a challenging way and an easier way...
That's not even half true.. My static is full of EU people, and we use the enrage mode as we can't deal with the lags, and yet we're close to clear T4.. just need the mages to calm down on the soldiers to help with enmity while they are invulnerable to my own attacks..

Who cares, those who have no other choice than to rely on this won't make it past t4 or 5 anyway.
For a practiced static there's no reason not to be smooth at turn 2. For a pickup PUG then it's often just less painful to run ADS down to the rage timer than deal with organising rotations and etc. As a bard, turn 2 ADS is the most annoying fight in the game, so it doesn't bother me at all if the easy mode is chosen.
This way is so easy it's embarrassing, my FC took 3 weeks of practicing different ways different strategies all kinds of tweaks. Though we don't get to play as often as a group as we would like, it was a huge accomplishment for us. One week we decided to try enrage for kicks with some randoms and I went healer instead, and I am a terrible healer, it was the easiest win I couldn't believe it. I felt cheated it was so easy. Either way, if they are going to leave it like that we will keep wacking the loot pinata.

Defend this cheap strat all you want. When they patch it, I will have a good laugh when I see groups who had 1-4 on farm stuck on turn 2 again.
