Looking at the BR chain you posted, i think you don't know how to use them 100%
You can do much more damages, believe me![]()

why cant it be simple to do and learn like skillchains? why make a more complicated system with more button presses and more necessary communication between players (ESPECIALLY when you make your combat so mashy you cant even really communicate well in the first damn place)
Lol I find it ironic.
There used to be a lot more hate for BR, but it was just because no one had taken the time to learn them. IMO if your still hating on it it's because you've yet to get a handle of the mechanic it works fine. SC are one thing and BR are another no ones asking for XI-2.
If SE modifies the BR though I wouldn't mind.

because only the few blind ffxiv lovers are left to defend it... there is absolutely nothing appealing about BR.Lol I find it ironic.

The fact that you can do great dmg and have effects on the mobs doesnt make it fun or appealing, just "useful".
I don't mind another system then skillchains of ffxi but the BR is far from being a fun system, its just a broken skillchain system put into this weird press, ... activate crap without timing needed... i would prefer a menue with the different skillchains to autoactivate over this boring system any day. no skill, no timing, no surprises... yey, what a system....
And do you honestly think that people can't handle this system?...
Its like you tell people that the AM looks great they just need glasses or a bigger monitor... *sigh*
You obviously don't use BR, or have never had to teach your linkshell how to do them.
I never said it was difficult to learn, but if you don't put the effort in to understand it then you will either hold up the whole dps team waiting for you or you will lose your buffs etc. I understand that you don't like BR but your reality is convoluted If you don't have the proper timing and training your BR aren't as timely or as good as my team's.

I hope it goes somewhere towards FFXI's skillchain system. Nothing like nailing that level 3 skillchain and seeing all your mages burst off it. Really cool.

Animations and many combinations are what is needed to make BR's better...I really enjoyed using the Br's too, altho i wouldnt mind seeing a nice sexy animation effect to go along with the effects like what would happen with SkillChains used to do, well as long as it wasnt just a simple mash of light like most of the battle effects are, since skillchaining and getting tho's visual's was a very satisfying feeling.
from hereWhy do people think Auto Attack is going to affect so many things? It won't stop you from crafting, it isn't going to cause your character to explode, and the world will not end.
I don't see them mentioning in any way that BR's are being removed.
It is one of the few systems in XIV that I like anyways.
Seeing how normal attacks are a major part of BR and they are no longer singularly selectable (in favor of an auto attack), BR, at the very least will be significantly different, and worst case scenario is that they are removed completely until they are rebuilt, which would be sadBattle Regimens
We are afraid to inform you that work on the Battle Regimen system has been postponed, as adjustments and additions alone will not suffice to address problems. There is a need to rework the system from the ground up, and we will lay the foundation stones after other changes have been seen to completion.
Its fun because its something to strategize about, because it requires teamwork and communication.... (And because it does a lot of damage)
But yea, animations are a necessity for BR to be truly enjoyable
The being stuck in limbo adds a sense of urgency. And rewards players who know what they are doing... isn't that what we've been screaming for? What they've been promising? A system that rewards skilled players? Getting an 6+ person BR to go off in a timely manner does indeed require skill, planning and communicationIt feels like "pause" BR "pause" back to the battle to me. It would be much better to just use BR, add the skills (without them actually being cast- but not go off yet) and as soon as the BR starts, a real coordinated good animated skillchain goes off, with proper animations etc. everything else is lost less fun then ffxi skillchains were.
the more attacks that are possible in a BR, the more combinations you could have....
For instance: they could make enchant spells only available in BR, like Burn II + regular attack enchants that attack with fire element
I would really like a rebuild. Maybe it's just me, but I really miss the skillchain and magic burst system from XI. This whole queue system is personally a little annoying. I guess you could consider it "more strategic" as you would decide beforehand what to queue up, however with the skillchain system, it felt much more free and...natural?I don't think they're removing BRs. However, they are going to rebuild them from the ground up. I wonder if they'll still be operational with 1.18 though, considering we'll have auto attack.
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure once they're done redesigning the system, we'll still be able to chain multiple abilities together for similar effects.
