Hi,

The current loot system in Crystal Tower doesn't work, simply because there's no reason to continue the raid if your item drops. What am I talking about? here's an example for a better understanding.

This happened last night.

Boss Dies

Alliance A receives Tank armor
Alliance B receives Healer armor
Alliance C receives Healer armor

Alliance A's tank wins loot, leaves the raid.
Alliance B's healer wins loot, leaves the raid.
Alliance C's healer wins loot, leaves the raid.

This is a problem and obviously wasn't thought out before releasing the content... I understand your reasoning behind 1 item per weekly lockout, you want the content to last long before 2.2 is released, this is completely understandable and I'm not arguing that method.

What I don't appreciate is the fact that there's nothing stopping people from leaving once they receive gear... what's waiting for them at the end? 50 mythology... that's not enough "reward" to keep people hooked into the raid after they have their item.

Here's my suggestion, which in my honest opinion would fix most of your problems.

Keep the loot system in place, you want CT to last for months.. that was obvious.

Suggestion

Add Crystal Tower to the Duty Roulette system, this can be completed once a day.

Rewards

10,000 Gil
200 Philosophy Tomes
100 Mythology Tomes
1 RANDOM Crystal Tower ilvl 80 piece of armor

Reasoning

What!? that's way too much... all that myth, all that gil... and a random i80 armor!??

First of all, this is "DAILY" which means you can't spam it and cap your myth this way.. if you did, it would take 5 days if you were doing this and nothing else.

Secondly, this whole thing is to keep players in the raid so what better way to keep them enticed by giving them a worthwhile reward waiting for them at the finish line.

This is our goal, we are trying to prevent players from leaving once they receive their loot, remember? 10k gil is pretty decent, giving a RANDOM i80 armor means they still have a chance to win something for their class or it will go towards their other classes, making the journey worthwhile in the end.

This is my 2c, feel free to add to it.. even if my suggestion doesn't go through, which is completely understandable :\ I still think something (anything) needs to be done about CT loot system.
