After 2.1: inconsistent framerate drops to 1FPS after teleport

Sometimes after I teleport, my framerate drops to 1FPS and I can barely move. This never happened before 2.1.

Specs:

• i7-920
• Radeon HD 5850
• 14 GB RAM

My video card drivers are up to date, and I've tried restarting. Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. It's completely intermittent and it does not happen exclusively after teleporting. The other day it started happening in crystal tower and was bad enough that I had to restart my client before it would go away.

I haven't tried updating my card drivers yet, but I have restarted the computer and the FFXIV client. When I restart the client, it goes away for a while, but if I leave the client running, the issue will start happening more often until I restart again.

Specs:

• AMD Phenom II x6 1055T @ 3.5 GHz
• 8 Gigabytes DDR3-1600 (G-Skill Ripjaws Brand)
• AMD Radeon HD 7870
