I'm that @$$hole. I leave all the time. I start each run by asking who is new. Call me an elitist if you want to but there are certain things people should know. CC if you can, follow the marked targets...
For example, I've been running Garuda HM for the axe. I'm almost full DL (missing 2 pieces) and when I see people in there with AF1 or lvl 39 accessories? Nope, I am going to leave. When the adds split and people go after the red one first and don't touch the green? I am going to leave.
I put in the time and effort to gear myself up and learn the fights. If you can't be reasonably expected to do the same I have no sympathy for you.
sigh* ....people like this make me want to nuke the earth and start a new species that don't put themselves before others. some selfish ness is okay...but this guy took it to a whole nother dimension.
if it was me an him stuck on an island... i'd shoot myself.

Why? Because I consider my time valuable and don't want to carry people who aren't willing to do their part? Like I said, I have no problem helping people out if they've even done a little bit, but the people who obviously have no idea what they're doing and aren't asking for advice / help or ignore it when I give it to me aren't worth my time.
Hell, I've gone so far as to make macros of lots of fights so I can just click a button to let them know what to do. Guess what the common response is? TLDR pull tank!

I don't bind helping people get through a dungeon. I stick around to the end môst times.
Yeah I already click Join In progress because I know it's some poor party that got bailed on.
