    I'm not sure how the system works, but ideally it should pick the highest level dungeon available to everyone matched together if all of them queued for roulette.

    For example, if 2 level 50s, a level 45, and a level 38 player are matched in a queue, it should set them up for Cutter's Cry. This way the Level 38 and 45 players can get the most xp possible in their roulette attempt. No reason that group of players should get Sastasha just because no one is in there.

    The way they said it would work. is when you select DR, it sends you to the 1st group waiting for a dungeon that needs your role. There should never be a case where everybody got into the dungeon because of DR.

    That said low level DR should be split into to groups, 1. Dungeons level 15-30, 2. Dungeons level 32-49. Getting stuck in a pre-level 30 dungeon with a job equipped is a waste and you can't revert to your base class either. You lose so many skills.

    That's certainly not how it does work however, last night I did my daily low level roulette and yet again got Sastasha. I asked the group if anyone had actually queued for Sastasha and what their levels were, lowest member was level 35 and everyone had gone in via roulette. So it comes back to roulette not just putting players 'where required' but sending players to 'empty' instances.

    So basically there are hardly any players running Sastasha through needing it and the instance servers are sat doing nothing and the roulette system is sending players there because the server/instance 'needs' players!

    I think they deliberately did that to balance out server loads and have people play less-played content. IIRC each dungeon has its own set of servers, so while it'd be a good idea to have higher level people pick on their own size, it'd not help the phenomena currently in place where high level players simply don't want to bother with low level areas, leaving those servers eating electricity for no good reason

    That's exactly what I meant, for them it makes sense to utilize unused assets, for the players however it just seems rather pointless running a level 15 dungeon when no-one needs it and the lowest member is say level 35. For players it'd be better if the roulette chose more appropriate content for the current level of the lowest member of the party. Maximise the bonus exp from a higher level dungeon etc.

    Obviously this is a 'roulette' where anything could pop out but it's like going to a casino and knowing that 00 is pretty much guaranteed to drop every spin of the roulette wheel, which is what is happening with Sastasha, so it's not really proper roulette when 9 times out of 10 the result is the same.

    This is how I assumed and hoped duty roulette would work. If there are multiple dungeons at a given level perhaps then it could/should consider which "content is lacking players."

    The added bonus of doing what Estellios suggests is that the lower level player benefits from the experience by learning from more experienced players. What I currently find in Sastasha etc is a speedy spam fest with no communication and lots of bad habits being formed.
