Thought of Marauder as AoE melee DPS. While not doing the most damage to a single target, we do a ton of damage the more targets there are around us. Add up total damage dealt per swing on three mobs simultaneously... that's nothing to scoff at.

MRD is my most satisfy class among all Disciples of Wars.
I love Great Axe and I love tough class.
And I'm more happy when I found that Marauder can take tanking role. <3
The most thing I regret about Marauder is Great Axe's Blade is quite tiny for me. ;w ;

In my opinion MRD is a tanking class well suited for some specific situations (see cluster NMs). It is reasonable their damage output is not comparable to the pure DPS classes. It is close to GLD, in order to beat GLD dps you would have to respec giving up defensive stat loosing your tanking role. It is evident they intended mrd as a tank just by looking at its skill set. Most of the skills are defensive or intended to hold aggro. I have tanked on mrd pretty much anything that is in game right and it works great, especially if you have gld skills available.


I believe GLA, MRD, and PUG are all tanks.
GLA = Shield tank
MRD = Parry tank
PUG = Evasion tank
The efficiency diferences between a gladiator with a mrd/pug are to much.Even if you can do it does not mean you should be doing it, Theres not one time were i would think a mrd or a pug can tank better than a gladi or even be on par.
ever.mrd/pug are offtanks at best.

AoE MRD abilities are great but they're pretty pointless with the claim system atm imo. Unless we can get SP for those other mobs that decide to be around when we're pwning our leve mobs or even behest when you have one prty, our AoE attacks are only good about 40% of the time from what I've seen.

Yup, to me MRD is very easy to live through. Our Vit point returns are glorious. Parry rate? Amazing. And DD with a couple skills borrowed from ARC and LNC make us home run hitters every time.
I don't like playing ARC because it's a little too easy to play, especially since I've ranked almost everything up to at least 20. If I had started with ARC I might have appreciated it more.
I don't play LNC as my main because frankly, I don't like the weapon style. If it was a Glaive or something, I'd be on that like a nerd on the new Pokemon game.
PUG... everyone and their mom plays that.
GLA... Sad day. I mean, I applaud tanks, I really do. But I like tanking and using GLD skills on my MRD more. Warmonger + Taunt + Provoke ftw.
CON, I actually love playing as a CON. I love the skills. I also love using those skills on my GLD. Nothing like being able to un-paralyze the tank or un-silence the healer. The only thing that ruins it for me is the MRD low MP returns. Oh well, that's what LNC is for!
THM, works great with MRD. Punishing bards while I'm playing my MRD is fun for the lulz. And Sacrifice is great in general, especially if you have an ARC who is pulling way too much hate. Or a GLD who can't tank.
MRD is a one (wo)man party! I think the only thing that was holding us back was mp. And now that we can regen that too... MRDs are going to take over the world.
