It's not that they couldn't still have market wards. And it's not that an auction house wouldn't be terrible. They just need to make something work, and right now it ain't working. I kind of favor the market ward system but a wow cloned auction house in their own UI would probably be best.

Wow style aution house? I and alot of other's that play XIV are XI fans NOT wow fans.

I dont want the style of ah that is used by wow at all, I think most that say AH mean
FFXI's auction house not wow's and if you played xi you know there is a difference.

HOW about XI style auction house, ppl must have never played XI it had an completely functional ah, mail system and player housing/mog house all of which didnt crash every other day......

This game ffxiv if anything should follow in its brothers footseps not a game from a different company...

Also if the wards are so iffy now(they have stated the issues with server lag effecting wards) imagine if they actually think they are gonna have a influx of new players, imagine then the server lag issues when wards are stuffed from door to door with so many stupid retainers itta make your head spin. How will that be fixed? Cairdeas
Multiple numbered wards in each town making it way more inconvenint then it already is?

A FFXI style Auction house/mail system just makes too much sense i guess, what is wrong with ppl the wards are just sooooo inconvenint.... =/
