New Playable Races Ideas Wanted!

This will probably never happen since they have variety already but if they were to add in new playable races what would people like to see?

I'd like to see Quina's (FF9) frog race introduced just because they are funny looking >_>!

They are adding a new race most likely with the first expansion, they already did surveys and player polls on what races ppl would like to see and most likely its in development at this point.

If I remember rightly, the poll was slightly misleading - the highest race polled was stated in generic terms (humanoid), which had viera as an example of such a race. It wasn't specifically listing viera as the race, but naturally players misread it as such and polled accordingly. Which led Yoshi to pour cold water on it and say that they don't want to introduce viera as he feels the 'animal/human hybrid' race role is already filled by the miqo'te.

I'd hate to see something that clash with the aesthetics, consistent and commendable, the game has now so you'd find me against the idea of ​​Quina-like people. Instead I'd like Viera for two reasons: may seems silly but there are lots of Miqo'te and I think other races could hardly compete with that sex appeal bringing some variety. It is also a FF we're talking about, references are almost always well received and Viera are loved by many.
