I've been a crazy amount of lag these last few day

My connection has always been fine till a few days ago. I was doing Titan last night and often, nobody moves for a few seconds (including Titan). I can dodge his attacks without a problem, but I was getting hit by nearly every weight of the land after dodging them clearly on my screen. I also notice this lag outside of instances. I've seen my party pop in and out.

So...anybody else getting lag as well? My connection is fine for all other things

At one point yesterday, there were so many players on, it was ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the flow of the market because of the holiday week.

Winter lag, = more people playing, more lag than usual.

Probably your ISP Just everyone overloading the system at peak times. At this time of year everyone and their chocobo is trying out their newest electronic toy

I'm not going to go over Network/Routing 101. However, from Michigan to Maine and several parts of Canada have had bad snowstorms and ice with power outages since last weekend. This with increased bandwidth from the holidays and rerouting of downed stations can play a role. Just a consideration, nothing more.

I'm pretty sure its a problem on SE's end. I have FiOS and wired connection. All my speed tests show 10 ms ping. It's as good as it can get. Never get any lag in any other MMO or another game, FFXIV is the only one I have been experiencing lag issues lately. They really need to optimize their servers to handle high load better. I always play on high pop servers on MMO's and have never experienced anything so laggy on this level.

I didn't get much game time in the first week after 2.1 released, however I have noticed a lot of unusual lag spikes happening on a pretty regular basis. It's happening in instances and in open world. I notice it even more so when I'm crafting. I'll freeze up and be unable to use my skills for a few seconds than back to normal. It's not my Internet connection, I have fios and have run speed checks and everything comes out fine. I never had issues before 2.1 so not sure what changed but it sucks now.
