In this crippling economy where there is literally NO profit from highend crafting or gathering; I found. . a Vortex Feather from Garuda extreme! Now lets take a quick second to analyze this rare primal drop. I check the market for a price check and it seems these bad boys are going for 1.5mill. well my excitement was all but shortlived when I seen there were over a dozen of these all selling for the same price. None are selling because nobody is making furniture. .because nobody has 100,000,000 gil to spend on a house. WHICH means the pretty feather will continue to drop in price or not sell at all.
Thanks to this terrible economy, and this joke of an update meant to keep us playing even 1 day past reset

I sold the Fine Wax from Hak Manor for 10k, seriously undercutting everyone so that people buy it for future use rather than it not selling and the price eventually becoming 260g.

Mine is the only one sold, no one is buying them (currently) so putting it up to 40k doesn't mean it's going to sell (and as more appear prices will drop sharply). That's my theory anyhow.

I'm not sure, because it really is that bad. I mean those items are infinitely obtainable, how high in price would you see them soar if right now they aren't selling at 10k? You can only do coil once a week and Turn 1 drop is 4-10k at best ( Plus no one's buying! The market is very saturated with these) what would happen to normal dungeon loots?+

Do anything with that 1.5m they just got off a market board sale? Yeah...if their account doesn't get investigated and swept clean for "suspected RMT activity" first. Screw lowering the housing prices, it's not going to matter when honest players have to fear for their accounts being locked and swept because they happened to cross some internal income threshold for the week or whatever crock of horse-hockey SE has come up with to prosecute their RMT witchunt. I havn't sold a thing on the markets for 2 months and it's going to stay that way until there is a drastic change in policy.

Bolded for truth and justice. I'm on Balmung, my FC isn't affording a house for a very very long time, I have 1 million gil. I stopped crafting, what's the point? To make money to have money? There is nothing to buy with the gil I am making.

It's not like it was in 11, farming for my Scorpion harness as my Ninja got close to 57, farming for my hauby as my war got close to 59. Camping/farming for my ebow as my ranger. There are no elite items that the player base can purchase/farm to make gil actually worth having. I am not saying I want ffxi but at least there were items that were expensive, best in slot, and gave you an incentive to make gil to get them.
